Asatru Religion Remade

Description
Proper Version of the Asatru Remade Mod (because the old one it had the wrong name every time I'd update it).

It changes the Asatru faith doctrines and tenets in the following way:

Doctrines: Homosexuality and Deviancy are shunned, and Witchcraft is accepted.

Tenet: Ritual Celebrations instead of Human Sacrifices.

The many laws across the ancient European world (like the Roman Scantinian law, which even later Christians criticised as being harsh) and artworks depicting homosexuality negatively. The few evidence of homosexuality in artwork found in Greece depict anti-stoic, demon spirits like Satyrs doing it. Used by leftist academics as evidence Greeks tolerated homosexuality.... Romans often accused homosexual acts to support claims of being in-virtuous (unmanly).
The ancient Germanic people (like the Norse), threw those they considered unmanly into bogs.
There's preserved dead bodies found in bogs at the time across Northern Europe.
To Germanics, being a man meant being a warrior and their status was incredibly important.
There was no written law, but there was oral laws which were interpreted at a council (Thing) & accusations of being "Ergi" (norse word for unmanly) could lead to violence & exile.
Do you think that such societies match well with modern egalitarian views on sexuality?

Tavernicus, what evidence? People's understandings of that people in that time are flawed due to pop-culture and it's creators flaws

My understanding is that homosexuals in Germanic/Norse society were executed, and often in brutal ways. Do you have any evidence for homosexuality being less than reviled?

I always found that witchcraft was shunned. Mainly because of the use of SEERS or religious leaders in a tribe often used witchcraft like methods irl

Thank you for the quick and clarifying reply! I'll check out the mod files and see if I can make sense of it. After all, I studied programming in the university some 33 years ago...

mmmh, that's interesting, but I don't think I'll change the mod to make it more inclusive to women since in the "nobility" the inheritance was still male dominated, I believe. (I dont think that a petty king's daughter would surpass a son in the succession line).

Anyway, what you suggst would more of a cultural innovation than a religious aspect in game terms, I think, so it would another mod.

Anyway, if you want you can just go in this mod files ( you ou can find them easily if you open the descriptor of this mod in an editor like notepad++, and then following the "directions") and change male dominated to equal (or even female dominated, if you'd like).
If you do that, I suggest you to make your own version of the mod, since every time I would update mine you would have to change the code again.

Sounds more complicated than it is, you should be able to do it even if you never modded CK3 (as a matter of fact, this is the first and only mod I've made lol).

Thank you for this mod. A thought: In ancient Swedish culture (probably Norse too, but since I'm knowledgeable about Swedish, I'll stick to that) the inheritance rights for property were in the female line. This makes sense since the men were out fighting all the time, yes? This is a proven historical fact (as witnessed by ancient "folkdräkt" (="folk clothing") had the pocket for the keys to the property on the female clothes.
Anyway, not to be too nerdy, this is not in any way the same as female birthright, but this sort of hints to the fact that there should be more equality. So, I wish for being able to appoint daughters as heirs. Is this something you could consider making? I would really like to be able to start with a female heir.

It did, but I guess I forgot to update the description in the last update of the mod, ops.
