Story:
Our hero is a scientist, archeologist finds himself in an ancient undergrount caverns and tonnels built hundreds years ago. once this place was discovered by nazis but their expedition failed. Fighting through the dark corridors full of zombies, our hero finds an unique artifact - the time gate. using it, he teleports to 1945. germany collapses, the panic is everywhere.

The great luck is that artifact teleported our hero into the house basement. yet, resident of this house is a nazy scientist who works under the secret project of the third reich - retribution.

It turns out that there are two such gates and they're working in a pair. but nazi scientists found only one portal and they moved it into the secret laboratory placed in the ancient castle. If scientists would activate these gates then nazis would be able to change history turn on the planet.

Met scientist, in a hope to safe himself from the soviet army attack and find refuge on an allies territory offers some help in breaking that secret lab to our hero. for him its only chance to return back to his time. but from the other side, by activating time gate he'd put the world on a verge of disaster. so, his objective is to break into the lab, mine the time gate and have time using it to return back.

I managed to solve the problem by uninstalling the game from the F drive and installing it on the D drive.The operating system is on the C drive.Either it was a mod that I had installed the Czech dubbing which is not part of the steam workshop or I have somewhere in the firewall blocked the rights to save data via steam on the F drive.:steamthumbsup:

Clearly some download issues on your side. Maybe some firewall is blocking it?

Well I've subscribed to the map and it says in blue that the game should start to download the map, but nothing downloads and nothing is visible in the game in the add-ons.It's weird that it does that with Left 4 Dead 2 maps too, but when I start the game it shows that there's something in the add-ons to download and it downloads normally. I don't understand what the problem is. But I have an old vacban 10-12 years old for a cs source game but it can't be a problem that I couldn't download from steam workshop then otherwise it wouldn't work in Left 4 Dead 2. And it works there.

It works for me. Might be admin rights issues i dont know. Ideally it should be like that - subscribe, wait for steam to download it, launch realrtcw, go to addons and launch the addon.

For example, in Left 4 dead 2 from steam workshop, I subscribe to a map or campaign and it normally says I need to start the game to download it, I start the game and it shows in the extras that it's downloading, and when it downloads I can activate it in game. But here on RealRTCW when I log in it also says I have to start the game but then nothing happens in the game nothing downloads and for the add-ons in the game when I open them there is nothing to select.

I installed the game and then the RealRTCW mod.Normally I played the RealRTCW mod without any problems everything works.But when I put Time Gate map here on the workshop add it then it shows up in the steam library for game RealRTCW in the settings in the workshop folder I have it activated there but it shows me downloaded 0 B. When I start the RealRTCW game I go to Add-Ons in the menu so there is no option there at all.what could be the problem.I have a 12 year old vac ban that prevents me from putting stuff on the workshop but shouldn't prevent me from downloading stuff from the steam workshop. :steamsad:

in case anyone out there is wondering what the name of the german song playing in the town square after you go back in time, it is called "Als die goldne Abendsonne"

As there are so many mods/maps in RealRTCW but for this one hits different. It felt like the main campaign and the levels are quite similar, for me that's a huge bonus. The level design is top notch. Highly recommend this one.
