Description
Welcome to the completly remade version of Expanded Colonial Regions

This mod redoes the colonial and trade company regions, allowing more autonomous colonies with their own armies in areas outside of North America, as well as splitting up North America into additional regions.

The new regions are Oregon, Texas, Hudson Bay, Guyanna, Patagonia, Central America, Cuba (Carribean has been split), West Africa, South Africa, East Africa, Madagascar, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, Burma, Thialand, IndoChina, Indonesia, New Zeeland, the Phillipines, and New Gunea. Also India's Trade Companies have been converted into colonial regions.

There are also new formable naitons with many of these regions, such as Oregon, South Africa, Myanmar, and more.

This is the 1.30 test branch, but the mod should work perfectly, it seems to run evne better on this patch then it did in previous versions. Due to the way paradox mods works, I cannot update the old version so it will stay as an archive.

This mod should be compatible with any mod that doesnt change the map, or happen to use the exact same tags i used for my formables.

There are a few mods I that improve this mod, especialy ones that increase colony liberty desire. Since The colonial regions are on average smaller, colonies revolt much less often, with the exception of mexico and the USA.

Also for those who have the time to play the new update more please do let me know how the new world changes affect the base game colonies. Ive heard that the new work more often "resists" colonization, and since my colonies tend to be individually weaker i may need to give them an extra buff to give them a fighting chance against the new natives, but i wont have as much time to run ai games and see

i plan on updating this mod to leviathan, however the update is dropping at a very busy time for me so I dont expect to be done with the update till mid may. The update WILL break this mod 100%, due to the map changes and colonial nation changed so you have been warned

I think the free religious boost would handle the problem best

Yes i am currently messing with a few options to make colonial nations in places like africa and asia not instantly die to religious rebels. Im going back and forth between making the AI take religious ideas (that is currently live and messing with other mods that mess with ideas) and changing the colonial national ideas to include free religous boosts

hi, I love this mod. but it's no longer compatible with Idea variation it now messes with the idea groups

However, if you are aware of how load order works, a temp fix would be to force the expanded idea groups to load after this mod, which would override my changes

Ahh thats probably because i chaged those files to try and make colonial naitons more likley to take religious ideas. currently its not working anyway so if i find a way to do that without interfering with the idea groups i will
