Soft Lamps

Description
Here it is. You ever go on the Artwork or Screenshots section and wonder how on earth people get their amazing lighting?
Its all this, the soft lamps tool. Created by Vioxtar and NeatNit, all credit goes to them, i'm simply the uploader.

This is the latest up to date version as of 1/4/2020 and will be continued to update if and when fixes come out.

Tutorials will be linked at a later date but here is the complex one by Vioxtar himself:

and here are the BASIC instructions:

1. Spawn the soft lamp, the same way you would spawn a lamp
2. Hold C (or whatever button you assigned to the context menu), right-click the newly created Soft Lamp, and select Edit Properties. From here, experiment.
3. Console command for capturing a poster is poster_soft. It uses the same syntax as the normal poster command.

i did some digging and turns out. vlpane vtx file is missing and making the godrays render pitch black. i put the vtx file from the old release back and godrays is working again

are you using debug light texture? use some other one, light textures that ain't black on their edges tend to bug out like this when lighting models

@bulkmoerls your render process looks like poster_aa is enabled, and console output for render result seems to say it's set to true. godrays render doesn't seem to like aa as it uses different source for getting picture, which seems to break it. put "poster_aa 0"

renders get to garrysmod/screenshot folder iirc, inside game files that steam will take you to through game properties window

i'll check the video after several hours once i get the ability to do so

Hey! I imagine you get this one frequently, but where do the renders for poster_soft save to? I was unable to find mine in the GMod screenshots folder.
