WW2 Music Mod

Description
I wondered why there wasn't a music mod for SD2 when that guy's Sound and Music mod for SD1 was so damn good. Seriously - I can't play the game without that stuff, man.

This mod
adds a grand total of over 10 songs to the game (That's more than the base game!) with hopes that the sounds of iconic (and less iconic) world war two themed tunes take you to a time when you used helmets as frying pans and got scarred for life after watching your childhood friend get riddled with shrapnel before your eyes.

I sincerely hope that these songs take you on an adventure - not to some wacky RTS - but to a place where the mud gets everywhere, the ponchos don't work and all you want to do is go home to mom and apple pie. I mean, uh, vodka. Or something.

Hello,
need help please: i have activated this mod in the game under "Mod" and there is no error note.
Fine.
But in the game nothing change with sound or music.
Thank you very much in advance for any help.

I am using the normal game from Steam without any DLC purchased.

I really tried to update it and add more songs but SD2's wacky modding scheme seems to have screwed up the whole thing. The manual is... not nice.

I'll see what I can do and I really do apologize for the trouble - damn! The new songs were really cool too.

Crap! Have to update it when I get access to my computer. It's not updated!!!

Great work finding a fix, and it should by after the 10th of next month when the update comes around - unless my time away gets extended... but I still hope it works out for y'all :td_Hazard::lunar2019piginablanket:

@BHunterSEAL Thank you, this fix worked for me. Are you using an alternative mod launcher to do that? (I had to put the file as read only, until it's updated)

Note: to force activation when SD2 has been updated, change the ModGenVersion in this mod's Config file to match the number displayed in the lower-left of the game's main menu. As of 04/22/20, this is 34656.

Weird... I see a few problems there. I don’t think the game itself updated, so the issue is likely a local one - the mod works by messing with music files and the music settings file only, so what could be happening is that something else on your end is overriding the changes the mod makes.

So, could be another mod you’re using or something up with your files.

If you were me, I’d try verifying game cache, and if that doesn’t work, uninstall the game, go to the Steel division folders (there’s more than just the one in SteamApps) and delete everything that remains, then reinstall the game. That should do it, and if it doesn’t... that seriously sucks.
