Old Mississauga City Hall

The original City Hall for the City of Mississauga. This building was constructed in 1971 as an office building but was converted for civic use in 1974 when it was donated to the newly incorporated Town of Mississauga for free after the first municipal building was gutted by a fire in 1969. The buidling served as City Hall until 1984 when the City began to move into its current facility. The building survived for another 4 years as an office building before being torn down in 1988. No part of the building remains except for a small set of abandoned steps which would have lead to the front door.
