Huge Galaxies

Description
This mod simply adds the following galaxy sizes:
1,500 Stars
2,000 Stars
2,500 Stars
5,000 Stars
7,500 Stars
10,000 Stars
15,000 Stars
20,000 Stars
25,000 Stars
50,000 Stars
75,000 Stars
100,000 Stars
150,000 Stars
200,000 Stars
250,000 Stars
500,000 Stars
750,000 Stars*
1,000,000 Stars*

* Attempting to generate a galaxy with this number of stars will likely crash your game.

Adds extra crisis strengths from 10 to 1000, in steps of 5 (10 - 100) and 50 (100 - 1000).

Max empires, default empires, etc are NOT scaled linearly and are instead scaled based on the square or cube root of the amount of stars in the new galaxy divided by the amount of stars in a huge galaxy. In other words, max empires for 2,000 stars is [30 * sqrt(2000 / 1000)], max fallen empires is [5 * cbrt(2000 / 1000)], etc... Habitable planets are also reduced to [1 / sqrt(x / 1000)], where x = number of stars.

Warning: Generating large galaxies will take a very long time! The time it takes to generate a galaxy does not scale linearly with the number of stars.

Compatible with 4.0.*. Compatibility with older versions is unknown (likely compatible if a mod to overwrite this mod's setup.gui is used).

Does NOT include names for stars. Use a namelist mod such as this one if generating galaxies with more than 2k stars.

If you want reduced outpost cost and build time, use this (possibly outdated/broken).

Is this or any other mod not working? Are there other people saying it does work? Feel free to report it here[support.paradoxplaza.com].

Thanks for looking into it, I have reported the possible problem on Gigas' Discord server. 👍🏻

@dnceleets could not reproduce

@Travis I don't know what it is, but gigas seems to struggle with large galaxies
I haven't tried every shape, but I managed to get a 1500 star elliptical galaxy. meanwhile, a 1000 star 6-spiral or starburst galaxy crashed.
you might wanna bug report that to them as 6-spiral and starburst galaxies (and probably others) can crash with just gigas enabled (though it sometimes takes several attempts)

I can confirm Dnceleets' observation. I tried multiple times to start a new save with a galaxy larger than the vanilla max of 1K stars, but every time it always crashed at precisely day 5 for me. I am playing with other mods such as Gigas and PD, so it's possible it could be an incompatibility with another mod, but I only disabled this one mod and it now plays just fine (with a "normal" 1K galaxy).

Leaving this for posterity in case it's related to your mod, but i experienced crashing multiple times on trying to load a 1500 star galaxy about 2 in game days after generation. after about 3 tries i loaded a 1000 star galaxy without changing anything to see if that worked and it did leading me to believe this mod was the cause of the issue. However i managed to succesfully get the game to generate a 1500 star galaxy and make it a year without a CTD. could have been a different mod causing the issue but not sure so i wanted to bring it to your attention.

yeah, I don't know what's wrong and reuploading it doesn't even seem to do anything

man...

When i delete this mod and use the other mods on my list the game launches. I just can't play with such small galaxies. Its way too boring for me.

The game has an icon indicating this is out of date?

So i have a pretty powerful computer, but i can't seem to generate large systems. I don't know if there is still a 4.0 compatibility issue? Yes i use other mods like planetary diversity.
