Brunswald - European Mansion #3

Description
I've recreated this asset in collaboration with TazerHere for his amazing YouTube series Brunswald.

This magnificient villa is one of Malmö's best locations. The building, of almost 800 square meters, was erected in 1921 and here you can still meet a feeling of bygone days.

A BIT OF HISTORY ABOUT THE BUILDING...

The property was initially called "Lycköre" and was owned by the wholesaler Alfred Grönqvist. After 3 years, it came to the Scandinavian Bank's ownership, which in turn leased it to the first airport manager Adrian Florman. In 1927 the building was renamed by the next owner Gustaf Löfberg to "Villa Karin" after his wife. Director Gustav started Gustaf Löfbergs AB, which sold glass, china, crystal, household articles and was the largest in its industry in Scandinavia at that time. He also started Palladium AB, Palladium café and the cinema palace Palladium in Malmö. The property was further sold in 1947, after 20 years, to another of Fridhem's profiles - the shipowner and the director Einar Hansen, who did not, however, use the villa as a home. Instead, it was sold in 1950 to AB Central Garage and in 1952 to the gardener and director Evald Sandell with his wife Zintra. They owned it through their company Rosenholm's drivers who grew roses and other plants. In 1981, the company went bankrupt and Malmö municipality came to exercise its then existing right of purchase and acquired the villa. Plans were underway to redevelop the property into apartment buildings, but the moderate members turned to this, pointing out that the villa had a cultural-historical value well worth preserving. During this time, the villa was mostly empty. In 1993, the house was acquired by its current owner.
