This is a story chain mod, kinda like a Mystery but with a chance to trigger in ANY game, no matter what your selected Mystery is. If you are excited about Paradox picking up the "Masquerade" series, you should also enjoy this mod. :)


And it's not related to the Ghost Of Mars movie, I just liked the cover art.


You can expect about ~10 popups of story bits divided over 20-30 sols resulting in two possible endings.

I had a quick look at it, but since I don't have the new DLC, I can't really update it to account for the new mechanics and bugs that stem from that.

Whenever I pick up the DLC, I'll try again to make it compatible. (I haven't gotten it yet, since I don't have a lot of time to play most of the stuff that I already own, so I can't really warrant spending money on stuff that I won't have time to enjoy).

Sorry to not be of help here :-(

If someone wants to have a go and update it, I could give maintainer status.

I really adore WOD, and I got so excited when I found this mod - will it ever be updated to work again? No matter what I do, the mod manager insists this mod is verboten for an updated game D:

@akeean thanks for the great mod!! I just tried it out last week and I enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I also had the issue where all of my colonists were converted to Renegades after what I believe was the conclusion occurred. I see back in March you mentioned an update to the mod for the current version of the game. Look forward to it and hope you can address this issue as well!!

Yes, with the new content for the game coming out, I'll be giving it a refresh very soon. I'll tweak the starting point a little.

About randomizing the likelihood that the event chain starts, with the mod active it should happen every time while the mod is active.

If you don't want it in new game, maybe deactivating the mod would be the best way, otherwise it'll be a situation where someone subs to this mod and then gets disappointed that it never triggered.

Is there a way to turn down the likelihood of this event series happening? I like it but it's happened in like 6/8 of my games, and I don't like it being so predictable. Also would be cool if it could be pushed back significantly, and not triggering at (appx) 50 pop each time.

Protip: disable storing of materials you won't need at the further locations. Ties up too many drones&shuttles.

It's true that this is the first play through that I actually happened to check at the point when they were looking for the master. I usually don't pay much attention to the colonist to be honest. I'm still trying to learn how to get the supplies from farther out to the main wharehouses.
