Extra details:

Similar to the RealConstruction mod, this mod will cause designated gas stations to require Petrol (the game’s name for finished goods from zoned oil industry), which can be imported if you don’t have any zoned. Trucks and non-electric cars will attempt to occasionally visit the gas station. Gas stations receive 8k petrol per truckload and stores 48k max it seems; each car/truck uses 1000 petrol per visit.

Use buildingUI to change playerbuilding to a RealGasStation
in addition to whatever its base AI is (usually a park or unique building). The default gas station that the author linked functions as a toll road in addition to being a RealGasStation.

Localization
This mod offers support for internationalization and heavily depends on people willing to contribute. The language is automatically determined based on your settings in "Options" -> "Gameplay".

It is still fun to watch the gas tankers arrive (from off-map) to fill the station(s) up. Works fine for that, and you don't need any sort of oil industry to have that happen.

What we aren't seeing since the Hotels&Retreats patch is cars stopping at the gas stations and using that gas up so that more trucks then turn up with a fresh supply. I used to love watching this happen.

So yes, it works partially and does no harm to your game or your city's economy, but you don't see everything it was designed to do.

I would really love to see somebody fix this one so that we can have the fun of watching real gas stations at work in our cities.

I tested it a bit, and for me, the mod seems to be working. Petrol delivered. I did not see vehicles using petrol. Hmmm.

After Hotels&Retreats patch the base game is not allowing Real Gas function, since it is overriding Customize It! Extended setup. The issue is not harmful, but this mod needs an update.

You can also test it: type 5086 as construction cost in the asset details (with Customize It Extended mod) and it becomes a petrol station, but it is not going to act as a petrol station.

I also will test it.

Yes, this still works. I have been using it and not seeing any issues.
