TBoI: Awakening offers small tweaks to every item in the game, many bosses and characters, and much more! It also introduces twenty-four brand new items, three new characters, and one dozen new challenges.

This mod's spiritual successor has been released. Check out "Absolution" on the workshop!

A description of the mod:

The goal of Awakening is to refresh and slightly reconstruct Isaac for added challenge intended toward veteran players.

I highly reccomend you use this mod in conjunction with "Hardmode Boss Patterns" for additional changes and challenge; also, Project ReRebirth (the other mod I have published) is included within, so you do *not* need both.

While this version is technically the full release, this mod is still a work in progress, and I have many more changes planned for the future, and I am open to any and all feedback - feel free to leave a rating and a comment!

Version 0.5 (ReRebirth):
--All items have been given new names and/or descriptions; this now includes the newest booster pack.
--Certain active items have altered charges.
--Certain 'pocketitems' have been altered, such as cards, pills, and more.

Version 0.75 (Characters, Curses, and Challenges):
--Many characters have altered beginning stats and/or items.
--Each character receives an item on Womb I after defeating Mom.
--Introduced 12 brand new challenges.

Version 1.0 (Awakening Full Release):
--Renamed all mini bosses and several main bosses.
--Reworked certain hud icons and pick ups.
--Added in seven brand new items (colored candles).
--Added in three brand new characters.

Version 1.25 (The Item Update):
--Added in seventeen brand new items that are based on real-life religious artifacts that are simple and fit within the mold of the game.

Version 1.3 (Minor Tweaks):
--Made several minor ui tweaks to items added in Ver. 1.25.
--Added pictures to the steam page showcasing two new items, all three new characters, changes made to two item descriptions, and a change made to a particular character.

Version 1.5 (Compatibilities):
--Added a compatibility for Afterbirth, which can be found here:

Version 2.0 (Finality):
