Description
I am no longer maintaining my Stellaris mods and, as a result, they are probably incompatible with the latest release. If you want to use my mods as the basis for your own, you are very welcome to do so.

---

This micro-mod adds Titanic Arc Emitters to the game. (1-15000 damage, 100% accuracy, 100% shield & armour penetration.)

It is primarily intended as a companion mod for Arc Emitter Miniaturization, so that players can choose to standardise their whole navy around arc emitters.

May the RNG gods look favourably upon you!

Known Bugs:
  • Screenshots are out-of-date.

Technical info / compatibility:
  • This is a clean mod - no vanilla files are overwritten. As such, it should be compatible with any mod that doesn't drastically alter the core game.

Earlier versions / Beta versions:
  • All of my mods are available on Github[github.com] (eg. in case you want to revert to an earlier version)

TLDR:
  • Tested version: 2.2.5
  • Required DLC: None
  • Ironman compatible: Yes
  • Achievement compatible: No

In that case, I'm sorry but patches for other-mods-that-I-don't-use-myself are extremely low on my list of priorities. Given that I still have a lot of mods to update from 2.2, I think it's safe to say that it isn't going to happen any time soon.

If you like this idea and want it to be included in ESC, honestly your best bet is to do it yourself. That way, you can ensure that it's properly balanced and tested. Failing that, you can try to persuade the ESC developers.

Extra Ship Components. It adds a bunch of new weapons along with upgrades of current ones.

Perhaps a stupid question but... what is ESC?
KYDuck Feb 15, 2019 @ 4:57pm
is there a patch for ESC upgraded versions? If, could you please make one? (for this and Arc Emmiter Miniaturization)

@Shiranui: Btw, I uploaded the change last night but forgot to say anything here. It should be working for you now.

Thanks you for the fast response. I really love this mod so I can go full anti everything build.

To my knowledge unless you use designable ion cannon then the build is set it will always use certain things like starports.

As for if people use that if they are running full vanilla then maybe.

Finally the other t sized weapons in More Components Mod 1.9 they were x sized weapons but in 2.0 they were moved and I think buffed for t slot usage.

@Shiranui: TL;DR I'm going to make a change which will hopefully fix the problem for your other mods. Technical info / speculation below.

---

The new t-sized weapons in the base game have something like this line:
size_restriction = { titan } # For PERDITION_BEAM_TITAN (ie. perdition beam)
size_restriction = { ion_cannon } # For PERDITION_BEAM_ION (ie. ion cannon)

... but the longstanding fallen empire TITAN_LASER doesn't have it.

My guess is that the mod-added t-sized weapons you're talking about don't include any form of size_restriction - probably because they were added to the game before the Apocalypse DLC came out, so they modified the titan laser rather than the perdition beam.

On reflection, any ship with a titanic weapon slot should be able to equip the titanic arc emitter. So I think I'll remove the relevant line from my mod, which should hopefully fix your issue.

This may cause the titan arc emitter to be added by default to player ion cannons. (Does anyone actually use those?) It probably won't be added to AI ion cannons. I don't think this is a problem, but we'll see.
