Description
When the Grand Central Square opened on our planet, crowds cheered the dawning of a new age. It should have been my hint to flee. When they started building statues of our great leader across our stellar empire, no one doubted where our government was headed - a great place, or so we were told. That was when they started building these labor camps and people started disappearing. My neighbor, gone. Now the secret police watch over our every move, and no one seemed to mind what our society has become. When no one resists, liberty dies.


The Zenith of Fallen Empires: Ascended Society depicts a slow transformation of a society towards fanaticism and finally Ascension. This mod imagines that a government with ulterior motives can build ethic-based buildings, subtly guiding (or brainwashing) the populace into a particular set of values in order to achieve those goals. This is an add-on component mod to The Zenith of Fallen Empires 2.0 and note that this mod requires the base mod to run.

I looked up and and saw 2018, didn't think much of it until today so forgive me if that 9 day period was confusing because very few mods got updated during the holidays and I have alot of them.

3) Reset of pops, resources etc are hard-coded to change with country type. And I already explained why there is no other good way of delivering what ZoFE aims to deliver without changing country type in a different thread.

5) Already a Known Issues which is posted in the Known Issues thread, and another that is hard-coded.

Before saying 'still needs work on the execution.' please at least provide a workable solution and ensure that you know what you're talking about when you say the current execution of the mod (within the limitation of the game) still needs improvement.

@Evil_Lord_Proteus I'm sorry, but in my opinion the execution is perfectly fine.

1) That is the whole point of becoming an Ascended Empire. Like the fallen empires, they only have 1 ethic. Complaining that you can't be both and have both is like saying needing to make a choice in-game is bad. What's the point of making choices in Stellaris anyway?

2) If you crash your own economy while ascending (keep in mind that AE civics are much more powerful than vanilla civics), then you clearly aren't ready to become an Ascended Empire, which itself has many prerequisites. I can't do anything about the competence of individual players.

Good idea, still needs work on the execution. Assuming this is the one with the Ascended Society perk.

1. Being forced to use one ethic removes all benefits and unlocks for the other ethics. As a Fanatic Materialist and Egalitarian, I lost access to Utopian Abundance, among other things, such as civics, when I choose Materialist Ascension.

2. Ascending resets your government and initiates the government reform lockout period so you can't put your civics that the mod just took away from you back in place. This could potentially crash your economy, and perhaps even game over the player.

3. Ascending resets all pop settings.

4. Ascending deletes all your resources.

5. Ascending removes the player from the list of Empires in the contacts list.

Might be more problems, but the atrocious programming by Paradox is causing my game to crash periodically whenever I try to save, so Stellaris is over for me until they fix the game they sold broken to us 2 months ago.
