The tip couldn't repeat endlessly without the "balls" also sprouting out the side of the "rod" every few atoms, which would ruin the effect.

To be honest, it's a bit of a testament to the relatively high bar for entry to this game that there aren't more 9-year-olds snickering over stuff like this.

After staying up until 5:30AM determined to complete this puzzle any way that I could, I have a much deeper appreciation of the fact that pee is stored in the balls.
