Description
This is a selection of materials I have made over the years for some of my maps. This addon includes two folders with materials. One folder automatically adds the materials to the ingame material tool so that these can be used for any build ingame. The other folder has the original materials that can be extracted with Gmad so that they can be used for making maps.

Material Contents for Ingame
  • Imperial crates
  • 5 interior walls
  • interior ceiling
  • interior floors

  • exterior panels
  • exterior greebles

  • clear and dirty glass

Material Contents for Maps
  • Imperial crate
  • interior walls
  • interior panels
  • interior ceiling
  • interior floors
  • wall grates
  • floor grates
  • wall pipes
  • single door
  • double doors
  • clear glass

  • exterior panels
  • exterior greebles

  • dirty variants for some materials

FAQ
  • Q: How can I use these materials ingame?
  • A: Just select the materials tool ingame and look for the 7 imperial materials in the list.

  • Q: Can I use the materials to use when making maps?
  • A: Yes you can, so long as you credit me for making the materials and textures. You can extract the materials using the program Gmad from the "Materials/lordtrilobite" folder and put them in the same folder in your Gmod folder so that they apear in the Hammer editor.

  • Q: Will you be adding more materials later on?
  • A: Probably.

Did you put them in the correct folder?

For me the materials just appear as invisible in the hammer++ editor, tried the normal hammer too, same thing there.

I've drawn the patterns in photoshop and overlaid several layers of metal and grunge photos with various modes of blending.

Hi, I was wondering how did you make these textures? Did you take metal textures and make them into patterns or did you draw them from scratch?
