Description
The "Tech Tier Events" mod adds an event chain that counts researched technologies and notifies when a new tier is unlocked.

In the corresponding Situation Log entry, the number of researched technologies per area (phyiscs/society/engineering) and per tier (1/2/3/4) are show.

NOT Ironman and multiplayer compatible.
If every participant of your multiplayer game has this mod installed you might be fine.

---------------------
Known Issues:
- Technologies added by other mods are not counted (I cannot fix this as long as I cannot filter last_increased_tech by tier/area -> support has to be added by Paradox).

I will look into this @AL|EN.
Since I already use a script to generate the mod, it should be rather easy to do that.

@timOkills Thanks for this mod!

My Stellaris main game language isn't English and because you mod archive has only <xxx>_l_english.yml file, all strings are displayed as '<code>_<name>_<something>'
Players who use non-English language would be very happy to see proper texts displayed in English at least.

Could you please fix this problem?

You can do it by: copy <xxx>_l_english.yml into <xxx>_l_polish.yml AND replace 'l_english:' to 'l_polish:' inside <xxx>_l_polish.yml.

Then repeat this for every non-English language.

Maybe you could create script to automate this proces to not forget adding missing translation files when you will update main <xxx>_l_english.yml files?

Sorry for the delay on updating this mod and also answering you. :steamfacepalm:
I had exams and a lot of work to do, but now I have more freetime again. :D

This mod should now be updated to 2.0.2.

I am not sure right now, but there might be an issue with technologies introduced by the Apocalypse DLC not counting.

Also, since 2.0.0 introduced an additional tier, the event chain in the situation log is kind of overfilled and might overlap.
Maybe I could fix this by splitting it into three event chains.
Do you have any better idea?

Sorry to nag you, but how is it going?
timOkills  [author] Mar 1 @ 11:05am
Yes, but it is going to take some time since I do not have much spare time right now.
I try to fix my mods until the end of next week.

Will you update this mod to 2.0?
Peter34 Nov 13, 2017 @ 9:42pm
That's a lot better!

Thanks for the feedback.
I just uploaded an update that tries to make the 9 lines more clearly arranged.

First, I added colors to distinguish the science area.

Unfortunatly, there does not seem to be a way to just add blank lines.
So, I added counters, that show which tier you have reached.
It is kind of redundant information, but serves well as a separator.

Okay, first item of feedback: The information is displayed as a huge block of text consisting of 9 lines. That's quite hard to read at-a-glance.

If you could add a blank line as spacer between eng and soc, 3rd and 4th line, and again between soc and phys, the 6th and 7th line, that'd help immensely. It would increase the space required from 9 to 11 lines, but I really think that's worthwhile. Even though it's a small usability change.

Thanks, Peter. :)
