resource pack isnt showing??

okay this could be because of the tutorial i followed being like . . 3 years old, but anyways im trying to make a music pack for terraria, and uh i got some of the music on it, i decided to go to the game and then to the list of resource packs and it- seems to not be there at all? the other resource packs i downloaded on there are- there, but the music pack i made isnt there at all? is there- a reason on why this is??

make sure your pack's pack.json file is correct, otherwise it won't show the resource pack in-game. it should be like this:
{
"Name": "Insert name here",
"Author": "Insert author here",
"Description": "Insert description here",
"Version": {
"major": 1,
"minor": 0
}
}

are the numbers supposed to have no qoutations? i js- took the er . . uh preset from the website and it had the numbers with qoutations by default, so-

yes, the version numbers are not supposed to have quotations

OOOH- actually yeah thats probably why it isnt showing, ill try that!!

well- uh . .
i tried that, i also exactly copied what your text said and replaced the stuff, but er . . it- still isnt working??? i dont understand how or why it isnt . .

Then it's an issue outside of the pack.json file. Can you tell me the layout of the files in your pack? Where is the pack files in your file directory?

its in the documents/my games/terraria/resource packs folder . . so, its also layouted from the music being at the top, the icon in the middle, and the pack.json file at the bottom

Is there a Content folder in the pack files? It should be inside the folder of the pack. If so, is the Music folder in the Content folder? That's the main part of a resource pack that makes it work.
