So, I tried to download a mod, from nexus mods, but ended up having to re-download the game after deleting sandbox and story mode accidentally from the files. I now have problems regarding the steam workshop mods. I got the mod to work, but all the mods have disappeared from the launcher, though I'm subscribed to them. I tried unsubscribing, but failed.

I use Nexus Mod Manager Community Edition to install mods for Bannerlord, and that works perfectly. Most people on Nexus probably use Vortex, but the point is it's much easier to us a mod manager (any would be fine if it's compatible with Bannerlord).

Manual installation gets cumbersome, but mod managers take care of backing up and restoring changed files as you change your installed ods.

Yes, mod managers work great as long as they are updated, they are always the middle part between mod - game.
I prefer to do it manually. :)
