As it is right now, you have to host it or be invited by someone else hosting it. It will show up in the map dropdown when you go to host a game. You can use the Tower Wars community chat room or the Tower Wars Steam Workshop forum to find people to play with.

is there a way to add this to single player versus bots ?

Custom maps should work with bots. Just choose the mod from the list when you go to play vs a bot.
