Hagia Sophia Church, Constantinople 1200 AD

My first-ever published asset! Made completely from scratch, this model represents the historical appearance of the Hagia Sophia around 1200 AD, prior to the Ottoman era. It includes the original western atrium, the skeuophylakion, and the baptisterium.


Originally completed in 537 AD by the Eastern Roman Empire, the Hagia Sophia was the world's largest interior space and an absolute masterpiece of Byzantine architecture. Built by Anthemius of Tralles and Isidore of Miletus (and later rebuilt by Isidore the Younger), this Justinianic basilica served as the cathedral of Constantinople and the epicenter of the Orthodox liturgical tradition. Over the centuries, the magnificent structure evolved, enduring earthquakes, receiving structural buttresses, and being adorned with brilliant frescoes.

Xτιζοντας εντελώς από την αρχή, αυτο το μοντελο εκπροσοπίζει τήν ιστορική εμφάνιση της Αγίας Σοφίας σε περιπου 13ο αιωνα, πριν απο της Τουρκο- και Φραγκοκρατίας. Αυτο το μοντελο περιεχει το κανονικο αίθριο, το σκευοφυλακειο και βαπτιστεριο.

Οταν οκοδωμησε στο 537 στο Βασιλειο των Ρωμαϊων, αυτο το κτιριο ηταν ο πιο μεγαλιτερος χωρος του Κοσμου. Αυτη η βασιλικη υπηρετησε τον καθεδρικο μητροπολιτικο ναο της Κωνσταντινουπολης και το επικεντρο της Καθολικης Οικουμενικης Ορθοδοξης παραδοσης. Κατα τη διαρκεια των αιωνων το κατασκευασμα εξελίχθηκε, παραβιαστικε σεισμοι, διαφορετικες αρχες, απαρεμφατοι πολεμοι κλπ.

Και τώρα σας παρουσιαζω μια ειδηση βαζομενη στις διαφορετικες ανασχηματισμες που τωρα μεταφερει την παθη μου προς την ιστορια.

Quest'è il mio prio asset pubblicato! Il modello rappresenta l'aspetto approssimativo nel 1200 ca.

Complettata inizialmente nel 537 nell'Impero Romano d'Oriente, La Santa Sofia ossia La Santa Sapienza fu lo spazio interno più grande del mondo, fu davvero un capolavoro dell'arte bizantina. Eretto secondo progettazioni di Antemio di Tralle ed Isidore di Milete (comunque poi ricostruita quasi interamente da Isidore il Giovane), questa basilica giustiniana servì la cattedrale sia di Costantinopoli sia dell'intero mondo cristiano orientale. Cambiò attraverso i secoli questa magnifica opera, sorpassando i terremoti, le guerre, diversi signori ecc.
