First Person Shooter Mode

Allows you to play the game in FPS mode.

Just tap T during a run to toggle it. (can also toggle options using the Mod Config Menu)
Press Up attack to attack, Left and Right attack to turn, and you can press Down attack while pressing Left or Right attack to turn faster.
(You are able to press turn while holding up to attack)

In the bottom right corner of the screen, just above pill/card slot, you'll get a little map of the room and the enemies so you can know if there's something coming up behind you.


The Skill Levels are:
"I'm too young to die" Start with The Wafer, Old Bandage, Gimpy and Infamy.
"Hey, not too rough" Start with The Wafer and Old Bandage.
"Hurt me plenty" Default value, no effect.
"Ultra-Violence" Damage is 1 heart minimum even before womb.
"Nightmare!" Damage is 1 heart minimum even before womb, you have Curse of the Tower.

If Free rotate mode is enabled you can face and shoot 360 degrees, in this mode holding Left or Right attack continuously turns and you can hold Down attack at the same time to turn faster.
If you disable this pressing Left or Right attack will turn you 90 degrees and pressing Down attack will turn you 180 degrees, you can use this if you want to emulate old dungeon crawler games that had orthagonal movement, or if you want to respect TBOI only letting you shoot orthagonally by default, or if you just want more of a challenge.

If free rotate mode is on and you have REPENTOGON you can also enable cursor locking, allowing you to play using the mouse rather than aiming with keyboard/joystick (though you can still use those)

Comes with it's own HUD (if you have HUD API).
Thanks to Gummy for designing and spriting the 'Doom style' HUD and for making the cool new sprites for the room minimap.
You'll also be able to set which HUD is used by default for when FPS mode is enabled in the config menu.



Mods that render sprites might render stuff on top of this, I can't really control that without simply making this mod last in the load order, but if I do that then stuff like EID, reHUD and MiniMAPI won't be able to work.

Might run a bit slow sometimes if your PC isn't great, I mean it is essentially rendering the whole room twice over, on top of doing a bunch of extra calculations.
On my PC it's generally fine unless I'm in a big 2x2 room with lots of enemies, but it slows down a bit if I'm running OBS at the same time, which is why it gets a bit slow sometimes in the video.
