Perfect!

Because I killed him and recycled the actor - Lucan Valerius doesn't buy/sell anything, but his wife? or sister? (probably both lol) now has over 190,000 gold.

Soooo much better than travelling from merchant to merchant trying to sell everything.

Thank you

@The Chimera Sell items to him then but.

When you invest in Lucan, it pushes his gold over the 30,000 mark, therefore breaking this mod.

Still not paying for my stuff. May have to kill him after all.

Could you make the gold go higher? like 2,00000

@PowerFang [author], {Just repeating my 4-22 comment with you addressed}
Bethesda ... may the Nine forever curse them for their stupidity ... created the 30,000 septim trap for ALL vendors so they stop paying for your goodies when their gold reaches that cap. You will have to reduce their Gold to something like 20,000 to avoid the "Cap-Out" trap when Dovahkiin ["D"] invests in vendors and raises their available Gold. With this cap, D can NEVER get full value for selling even a single high-end Armor [like any Shrouded or Jester item (values are somewhere over 100,000 @)].
As it is, D will have to be SURE to sell his stuff FIRST, to ensure Lucan's cash is well reduced, before buying anything from him [or any other merchant with similar amounts of gold]. I am going to sub and fav this, but if you don't reduce their initial gold, I'll have to drop it when D starts to invest in businesses.

That's a good collection you've put together. Kudos!!

With gold at 29K, wearing amulet of 10% increase prices raises his gold over 30K, and he stops paying for items!.

If you also have invested via the speechcraft perk, it raises his amount to 39000 instead of 29000.

As of now, 2/17/12, it's not working for me, although it worked before.
This is very odd.

very nice man
IceWolf 14. feb. 2012 kl. 7:45
I think 30k is enough. Thanks for fixing it.

Ok after a lot of experimenting, it seems that any gold value over 30k causes problems. So for now, i have changed the mod to only give Lucan 29k gold. But atleast it now works correctly and will respawn after 48 hours. I'll keep looking into why this is the case.
PowerFang  [ophavsmand] 14. feb. 2012 kl. 0:45
Ok thanks for that info - i will look into it
I literally only changed the gold amount so i cant see how that broke it, but there must be something else that needs to be changed.
IceWolf 13. feb. 2012 kl. 16:22
At that moment i had around 75k gold. And i was able to sell items to other vendors, reaching a total of 79k gold (and later in game over 80k), so it isn't because gold cap (i don't know if there IS a gold cap). I don't know why, but this is happening only with Lucan - i sell to him 2-3 items and after that i don't get any gold.
PowerFang  [ophavsmand] 13. feb. 2012 kl. 12:37
What is your gold at? When you get to the point where you stop getting gold, can you save the game, disable my mod, and sell an item and see if you get gold? If you continue to get gold after disabling my mod then i must be missing something. I will test this myself aswell.
IceWolf 13. feb. 2012 kl. 7:43
PowerFang, Raistlin is right. I sell some items to him (he has 66k gold) but after 3-4 items he won't give me gold. The items appear to have value but i get nothing when I sell to him. Something is broken somewhere. Can you fix it? It will be great.
Sorry for my English...
PowerFang  [ophavsmand] 12. feb. 2012 kl. 14:25
What is yor current gold at? This mod ONLY changes the gold quantity of the RiverWood trader - it can no way break it so you dont get gold from selling.
TTV/drowarrow 12. feb. 2012 kl. 10:21
everytime i try to sell something to him i never get the gold ... for example i sell a gem worth 300 gold the gem goes to him as if i sold it but i dont get the gold.
Mazurek 11. feb. 2012 kl. 8:42
So you just gave him 6x the gold that he naturally has. He has 10k gold each time I visit, thanks to the speechcraft perks. For a while he had 14k gold each time, but something reset it back to 10k
Krunch 11. feb. 2012 kl. 0:25
This will work wonders for me, I need to sell all this stuff before I get over encumbered again.
