I used unlock comand couldnt find key. The whole inheritance thing would help you out alot. Have the Courior or an old frind in Whiterun give you a mini quest and the key.

thats a good idea, i actually am now messing around with script and such so ill keep that in mind, along with other things such as crafting areas, you might just see that coming into the mod :)

How about we get the key from a runer? Our uncle died somewhere fighting a bandit lord in Elswayr. Anyway the runner gives us a large amout of gold just a few thousand and the key. Along with a leter from our uncle giving us advice and saying how much he loved us.
