Если я правильно понимаю, то здесь трассы не были самостоятельно сделаны, а лишь скопированы с реальных карт мира.. Гениально!!

this looks pretty good and I generally dislike racing games

This is a great idea, one I'm sure many have had, but have never executed. Nice work. While I'm not that big on racing games that aren't first person perspective, this would be a lot of fun simply because of the main feature (racing through aerial footage of famous cities!) Very cool.

Seems interesting: Reminds me NeoDriftOut. From what I see (video only), the driving could be improved.

I also don't see the gameplay other than arcade oriented with this kind of viewpoint. This will be the key piece to make your game enjoyable. Make sure it is easy at the beginning but improves / complexifies as the player goes on: drifts, wind aspirations & the like.

All in all, I'd like to see this one a day or another in my library ;-)

Keep up the good work

@Beef Supreme The driving license is particularly tough because we wanted to be sure to grab players attention in how RWR is different from the typical top down racer. Usually a player should be able to pass the tests before they start to get frustrating though. Let us know your progress.
Playstos  [author] Sep 20, 2013 @ 10:55pm
@psynrg Ok, that's the problem then. You should detach the Fanatec before launching RWR or you can wait for the next patch :) Anyway RWR supports racing wheels and pedals and also force feedback. Just configure it in the controls menu. Honestly playing the game with the racing wheel is not something that we recommend but you can give it a try if you want.
Syncros Sep 20, 2013 @ 7:30pm
is it a bad sign i can barely get through the training yet i play racing games all the time?
pSynrg Sep 20, 2013 @ 2:26pm
Hi Playstos, thanks for replying. I do have other controllers and the 360 is listed as my 3rd controller in the system (I have also Fanatec CSW & seperate Logitech pedals). Love the game and if it's not too late, maybe you could drop in multi controller support? Any plans to introduce FFB for wheels in the future? I think it'd be a lot of fun to play with a wheel and rotating map pointing north...

Looking forward to giving this interesting take on a racing game a try. Bought it on GMG today, but wish it was the same price on your own site so I could have cut out the middleman and gotten a steam key when it comes here.
lubro Sep 20, 2013 @ 10:21am
That's fine. I was just curious. Still grabbed the game on GMG. It's a steal at that price. Loved the early build and I was not aware that it's out already. I wish you get on Steam to get publicity you deserve. Everyone needs to play RWR! :car:
Playstos  [author] Sep 20, 2013 @ 9:22am
Hi Lubrowski, "free" steam keys are available only for customers that buy the game on the Humble Store, sorry.
lubro Sep 20, 2013 @ 9:02am
I wonder. If I get the game on GMG and it gets Greenlit later... Do I get the Steam key (as I would on Humble Store).
Playstos  [author] Sep 18, 2013 @ 1:52pm
Hi Psynrg, this is very strange. The game has been tested intensively with the 360 controller (both wired and wireless) and it is also the controller of choice for RWR. Have you turned it on before entering the game? Have you tried to re-configure it in the options screen? Have you other controllers attached to your pc? Real World Racing only uses the "main" controller and this could be the problem. Thank you for your message.
pSynrg Sep 18, 2013 @ 1:37pm
Love it but it won't pick up my 360 controller. I'm not so good on keys anymore! :)

Playstos  [author] Sep 13, 2013 @ 10:22pm
@Ned Coleman Real World Racing runs at a fixed rendering resolution, albeit optimized and upscaled depending on your actual desktop size. This is done on purpose, as it allows for the best, seamless blend, between the enhanced bitmap data used as the base imagery, and the actual models for cars and added track elements. This may look unusual and even limiting compared to normal settings and tweaking expected in PC games, but this choice is a result of trying to achieve the best quality possible with the source imagery material, which is the best available on the market.

ned coleman Sep 13, 2013 @ 5:09pm
Options menu/resolution change? I'm using2560*1440.
