ah! no worries and I only use the electrum because my players assinged real usd value to the dnd coins...why they did that i've no clue but its how they understand the money aha
Spadie  [ophavsmand] 15. juli 2021 kl. 11:25
Unfortunately I no longer have the original .psd for making these coins so I'm unable to create any more. Originally I didn't put Electrum in as the 5S kind of covers electrum, then 2E is 1G.

Also I think my D&D group would find me and tie me to a railroad track if I did Electrum. They *hate* it.

If I still had the files I would do them, train tracks be damned, but I lost them years ago sadly.

Maybe I'll do another set some day and I'll do electrum again, shinier this time!

just found this and love it! but could you please add electrums??

I believe it was likely a temporary hosting issue. I checked the URLs and, from the handful I've checked, they still appear to be up and working.

The model/mesh is a pastebin; http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=00YWZ28Y

And then the image and normals are both imgur;

Image example: http://i.imgur.com/rW9xaMV.jpg
Normals example: http://i.imgur.com/D4rMEoP.jpg

All appear to be okay! Possible that Imgur went down for a little while. If theres a specific coin or group of coins that isn't working, let me know. Give it a shot again, and if it doesn't work, add me and I'll hop into your game and take a gander at what might be happening.

Im really glad people are still getting use out of these!

hey man, loved you work, we used it all the time in my our game, but today i noticed that the coins aren't working. the mesh URL returns an unable to reach error when i try to manually access it. i dunno if it's just a temporary hosting problem, but if you cound re-host it in another place and update the mode, me and the boys would be immensilly thankful.

That's.. actually really cool. I considered doing something like that back in the day but I realized; I'm dumb as a brick. Thank you! I'll have to think about how to implement it in the mod, with credit of course!

Thank you! I'm glad people still like these little coins.

Hi! I liked your coins but I was frustrated that the game doesn't add them up like with poker chips, so I wrote a script to fix it! This script will get the value from the coin name, then count the number in the stack, and then add it to the description, after any previous description. It can work with any stackable chip provided it has the value in the name (just copy and paste into the scripting editor), so feel free to spread it around. Hope it's useful!

Like miniatures? I'm not skilled enough to make minis, a disk is about the limit of my skillset.
August Bebel 27. mar. 2019 kl. 17:19
A lifesaver! Only if there were pieces as well~
Spadie  [ophavsmand] 5. juni 2018 kl. 8:36
No problem, glad you enjoy them!

Protip; when you award players money, always give the group a prime number. It can't be divided evenly.
Psyckosama 5. juni 2018 kl. 7:46
Spadie, I just want to say thank you again. Your coins have enabled me to torture my players with all manner of small change and oddball exchange rates and denominations. :)
Psyckosama 17. nov. 2017 kl. 1:20
Oh yes. Between scaling and the colors... right now my PCs are going to have to deal with all kinds of annoying small change and denominations. Behold the horrors of the pre-decimalization British monetary system where you had 4 farthings to the penny, 12 pence to the shilling, and 20 shillings to the pound! MUHAHAHAHA! MINE IS AN EVIL LAUGH!

Between the gems in another coin set, I'm pretty much good for tangible loot.

Thank you again. :)

No problem! Hope you enjoy them
Psyckosama 17. nov. 2017 kl. 0:20
Spadie, you are a prince among men. Thank you.
Spadie  [ophavsmand] 16. nov. 2017 kl. 23:57
I also made them in both Flippable and Stackable sets, both in that bag for convenience. The names are still the same and coloured, as well as the bags, so you can differentiate them before you rename and recolour them.
Spadie  [ophavsmand] 16. nov. 2017 kl. 23:55
I updated the workshop, you should be able to find the grayscale coins in the large gray bag on the bottom left of the table. They're not super perfect, I had to edit the images or else I'd have to remake the number faces for each coin, so I batch processed them into grayscale and then tried to make them match the Silver coin as best I could. I think it turned out okay, the Platinum one is a little weird but it should be sufficient enough to recolour and have it not look like trash.
Psyckosama 16. nov. 2017 kl. 12:12
Thank you. That'll make them a lot more flexible for everyone. This way people will be able to use them for not only the set values but for example, currency of multiple nations by simply recoloring each denomination and using it as a different coin. Again, you have my thanks.
Spadie  [ophavsmand] 16. nov. 2017 kl. 8:09
I still have the .psd's of the coins, I might be able to make them back into a neutral colour tomorrow and upload them for you.
Psyckosama 16. nov. 2017 kl. 2:33
That's actually one of the reasons I like yours. But it would be nice to be able to easily mod the "material" of the coin with a recolor.
Spadie  [ophavsmand] 15. nov. 2017 kl. 22:50
Ah yeah I see what you mean. The reason it's the way it is, is when I made them, each of the separate values of coins have different symbols instead of my old version which all had the same ones. So copper has the wheat, silver has the scales etc.
Psyckosama 15. nov. 2017 kl. 22:08
Yes. It would be very convenient if the colors were actually chosen using the color code option within the program itself rather than as part of the texture.

Reason I'm bringing this up is because the game I'm running right now has 4 denominations of coins using the old British system of Crown(Pound)/Shilling/Penny/Farthing with both the penny and farthing being brass coins of differing size, the shilling being silver, and the Crown gold.

BTW, it's WFRP2 with a modded economy.
Spadie  [ophavsmand] 15. nov. 2017 kl. 0:48
Where do you mean? To recolor each coin versus just the name tag?
Psyckosama 15. nov. 2017 kl. 0:39
My only complaint is I wish you'd left the color information in the color box and not the texture.
Spadie  [ophavsmand] 25. juni 2017 kl. 10:02
Absolutely!
GiantDwarf01 25. juni 2017 kl. 8:48
Hey man, awesome mod. Is it cool that I used these in one of my mods? Credit was of course included and linked to here.
Spadie  [ophavsmand] 29. maj 2017 kl. 22:37
Agreed. I made my original set because the ones in the workshop weren't cutting it. And then my own coins weren't cutting it. So, here we be!
SaltyO 29. maj 2017 kl. 1:29
Always nice to have cool coins when you're playing any historical or fantasy themed game :)
Spadie  [ophavsmand] 24. maj 2017 kl. 14:00
Ty!
DedMachine 24. maj 2017 kl. 13:58
best looking coins in the workshop imo.
DedMachine 24. maj 2017 kl. 9:31
First!
