oh I understand, I am the same way. Took me forever to even get the basics. And you're right, it would be nice if SCS actually backed their product with proper documentation considering its the mods that have kept it going more than anything they've done.

It's more than engines. If you look at the mod description under "SOUND", those are my plans moving forward if I had the time to learn FMOD beyond engines. SCS still hasn't made documentation outside of that spectrum. Yes, there are video tutorials out there made by other FMODders, but for some reason I need a 1-on-1 tutorial to get to know how everything works with the game.

Ya I get it. I have several engine mods myself, and in-between life and the gray days causing a complete lack of creativity, sometimes crap just doesn't get done. I assume is just a matter of getting the time to learn FMOD, not that its too confusing? I could try to help, although my knowledge doesn't extend much beyond engines themselves lol

Unfortunately, no. I did aim for Autumn to update the Snow Edition EDXP and it's already Winter. And as you may already know, life just drags you back. I still have absolutely zero knowledge of modding with FMOD. For the time being until things are stable enough (who knows when), I will announce when I actually make progress. And my game will remain in Autumn until Spring time.

Just curious if the update has made any progress, not trying to bug, just curious, it's the only missing piece in your entire setup...and it being winter and all could be useful ;) But if holidays and life are just too hectic, I understand totally.

Clearly you haven't seen the link in the description above for the snow weather mod. And it sounds like you need to search the web more because there are car/bus mods already available for ATS.

How come there isn't any snow weather? where u can drive through snow, ETS 2 has got snow weather, & it's pretty good. Also how come u can't drive a car or a bus, ETS has got it where u can actually drive them!!!

Note that I will keep this April Fools' update for a few days. I'm scheduling an update back to normal on 4 April. I hope everyone is enjoying the update :D

Higher than any other AI or Sound mods you may have installed.

Does this work with New Mexico? And does it work without a snow mod? I like a lot of what it does, but I don't want to HAVE to use a snow mod if I don't want to

why upload a mod that only has sounds and not a mod that has both snow snow physics and snow sounds? its a really bad idea how am i going to use this?

@PapaSmurf I drive for Schneider and we are goverend at 63 mph. I also know JB Hunt is going up to 65 mph on their governs.

@ravensview I have my own personal physics mod that I use for driving in heavy snow. The values were copied from someone else's mod, but I do not remember which one. I'll get back to you if I do remember.

Do you know of any ATS winter mod that also simulates the driving physics? As in less traction up hills, poor braking, more skids, and more HP needed to plow through any deep snow?? AlexeyP did that on ETS but he's ne longer modding.

well then modder, add that you govern your trucks to simulate "real life", eventhough I am aware of only one national carrier that governs their tractors.and ironicly enough,their name is Swift.

For the next update, I did add more truck speed variety. Some truck will still go 65 MPH (to simulate company trucks), others in the 70 range, as high as 78. Though rarely I see trucks going higher than that. Sorry, I will not add any higher. This mod will have SAFE AI truck drivers.

so you want to govern the trucks and reduce their speesd ? hey bud- that isnt realistic. in real life..my volvo 660 will roll at 90mph if i want to drop the hammer. your desciption is misleading

@Boeing73FLY, I saw this warning in the console, <WARNING> [unit] Ignored unknown attribute compatible_version[] = 1.2.*

Don't worry, it's just a warning & a simple typo in your manifest.sii. It should read, compatible_versions[] = 1.2.* (note version to versions). When adding the s to version, the problem is resolved :)
