@IceFrost - Thanks man! Haven't had as much time as I would have liked to spend on this, and a few issues arose with new updates of the game engine, but I want to get back into this as much as I can :steamhappy:

I had to double check the name. I thought it said "Deep Space Nine". Voted, looks like a cool game! XD

@Caboose - Which video?
Caboose Nov 4, 2015 @ 4:13am
Planet scanning was my thing back in Mass Effect 2. Helped edit a music video about it that blew up on YouTube back in the day. Quite curious to see how this turns out.

@DMHCook, @Creeperhead, @turboramin - Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it when you played and we hope you get to play it again soon!

I didn't like Mass Effect 2's resource probing and I'm not going to like it in a different game.
DMHCook Oct 28, 2015 @ 4:32am
Game looks awesome! Also that trailer was pretty awesome :P

Great concept guys cannot wait to play, especially enjoyed the visual design and the music was fantastic. Good job from an idependant very promising company.

Two Dogs  [author] Oct 14, 2015 @ 1:58am
@Thu'ums Up - Yeah, there are a couple of things which are being worked on, but the gameplay side of it is there and has been playtested at the biggest indie games festival in the UK so we've managed to refine that before polishing some of the visuals. We're thinking of changing the drills landing on the planet to be a cut scene instead of an actual rigged model landing onto another model, etc.
As far as the name is concerned we didn't actually know about the YouTube series until after we named the game, but it's accurate to the gameplay (you'll be mining in space after all).
I'm glad you see the potential for this game and I hope you enjoy it when you get the chance to play!

@Nero, @[MLG]Commander Poogle, @DoomNails, @Shafylus, @Skrillex - Thanks!
Two Dogs  [author] Oct 14, 2015 @ 1:56am
@dameyeboy3 - Thanks, nice to see people who've played the game and enjoyed it :steamhappy:

@Poodleinacan - The planetary scanning is indeed inspired by Mass Effect but it's not the exact same as you have to time your probes and you only have a limited number of them for example. Also, you're competing online against someone else and you need to use the minerals you mine in a dynamic stock market to craft more drills. There's definitely a lot more to the game than that, hopefully you'll get the chance to try it out!
Alice_130 Oct 14, 2015 @ 12:14am
The fact that u could play multiplayer struck me as good i love wining against my brother he gets salty:steamsalty:

I am enjoy view.
Nero Oct 13, 2015 @ 3:46pm
very good
chef109 Oct 13, 2015 @ 3:23pm
Very cool UI but the graphics and animations are pretty weak when you go down to a planet. Title and tagline are also pretty weak as well. The title is obviously stolen from the Yogscast (Yes I realize that their stuff probably isn't copyrighted but still) and the tagline is a reworking of the Alien: Isolation tagline. (Yes I realize that this is greenlight and it's may be a working title) I was sort of disappointed that the trailers didn't really show much that indicated that it was turned based strategy.

HOWEVER, this still seems like a cool concept with plenty of features and would love to buy it once it's a bit more flushed out.
Poodleinacan Oct 13, 2015 @ 3:01pm
Oh great!
Mass Effect 1's ressource mining thing, but as a game!

... I'll just play Star Control 2. There's planet probing and mining in that game, and a developed story and quest.
dameyeboy3 Oct 13, 2015 @ 12:29pm
Played this game at Dare in Dundee and loved it. Cant wait for this!
Two Dogs  [author] Oct 13, 2015 @ 12:20pm
@ZOMBIE_MAZ - We waited to start our greenlight to make sure people don't have to wait half a year to play the game, so if we get through greenlight you'll be able to play very soon!

@BlueTiger - Hopefully you can see the improvement already! Glad you enjoyed playing Deep Space Mine :steamhappy:

Played the game at Dare to be Digital 2015, it was a lot of fun. Cant wait to play it with friends.
Two Dogs  [author] Oct 13, 2015 @ 6:37am
@RedHood - Thanks!

@skillet - Sorry, my Russian is very limited (hopefully you can read this). There is very little text in the game so hopefully language isn't an issue, but it also means we can quickly provide translations in the future.
Simpward Oct 13, 2015 @ 6:36am
Make sure you release this soon, i need to play this

This game looks incredible, can't wait to play it!
Two Dogs  [author] Oct 13, 2015 @ 4:51am
@Agarmaniac - Thanks! Hopefully you'll be able to play soon.

@Fukurokudzu - Yep, the scanning and probing is inspired partly by Mass Effect. Ours plays a bit differently though as you have to time your probes to the movement of the target.
Fukurokudzu Oct 13, 2015 @ 4:48am
looks a little bit like mass effect mini game :steamhappy:
TheRealBisch Oct 13, 2015 @ 3:41am
Awesome! I want to play it now!

Two Dogs  [author] Oct 13, 2015 @ 12:06am
@mcand1 - We included a note about that in the FAQ at the bottom of the description. We can make Deep Space Mine for Linux too :steamhappy:
mcand1 Oct 12, 2015 @ 11:53pm
No Linux support?
Two Dogs  [author] Oct 12, 2015 @ 11:48pm
@DeadFingers - That music was made for the trailer and it's different in the game. I'll look into posting in game music soon. The end game message is obviously placeholder. We have focused on making the game functional in all the key areas first so the win message will be changing.

@Skoardy - The name shouldn't be too important, but we hope that people who get it enjoy it, and either way the name is still relevant to the gameplay.

@Lyvnie - Thanks!
Lyvnie Oct 12, 2015 @ 10:52pm
It looks like a interesting game, Upvote to see what it turns out like
Skoardy Oct 12, 2015 @ 8:48pm
A pun on TV show that ended over 15 years ago? There'll be people voting who weren't even born then...
DeadFingers Oct 12, 2015 @ 8:19pm
What the hell is up with that "music" loop? And "You win :D"? Seriously?
Two Dogs  [author] Oct 12, 2015 @ 3:40pm
@NovaNoviik - Currently there is multiplayer and a single player 'free mode' where you have no opponent. We are considering what to prioritise between AI and other features so there is a little single player and it's definitely in considering for further development.
BinaryReflex Oct 12, 2015 @ 3:24pm
Looks interesting. Will this have a singleplayer mode, or is it multiplayer only?
