I have seen this before, like while the user is in the mod manager, the mod will have no icon and no name, I'm guessing that this is just an error with ATS and the steam workshop communicating together.
My version of the mod works just fine on ATS v1.55
Have you tried unsubbing then resubbing to the workshop item?
It could just be a communicate error with ATS and the steam workshop

With Notepad++ all you will need to do is to press CTRL + F for find, click on "replace" there will be two text boxes, "Find what" and "Replace with" then neck just click on "Replace All in All Open Documents"
Doing it this way using Notepad++ is much quicker than editing each individual .sii file with regular notepad.

To answer that question.
The .sui files are located within "def/vehicle/transmission/" from which holds several .sui files for the transmissions.
For the .sii files from which are located within "def/vehicle/truck" the .sii files only hold information about the differential ratio and they all have pointers to a certain .sui transmission that is located in "def/vehicle/transmission"
The idea of having this file setup was similar to how LoadedSaints does their Real Eaton Fuller Transmission mod, from which can be found here on the steam workshop.

I would love to add those transmissions from whenever I can but I'd have to research them, like the gear ratios, torque converter ratio etc...

I am pretty sure I already added that truck, however due to a issue that someone else reported the transmissions do not work on that truck, I have no clue why, I do not own that paid truck, I am sorry.
To best way I can explain is
CLOSE - The difference between gear ratios is small, meaning the engine speed (RPM) doesn’t drop much between shifts.
WIDE - Larger gaps between gear ratios, meaning the RPM drops more significantly between shifts.
DEEP - Typically refers to very short (numerically high) first and second gear ratios to provide maximum torque multiplication.
