Not quite sure how some textures are missing since the map is fully packed. I've seen some people have addons or custom game options that mess with textures and lighting so that might be your issue.
All the music I use for maps are purchased from non-copyright sites/programs, The one that plays from the screen in the Scholastic store is an AI-generated generic retro game music from the program Wondershare Filmora!
For the guess on what date the map is set, you're pretty close! I made some changes to the map recently since some of the stores had inaccurate items/posters. A handful of the stores were made VERY late into the night, so through my tiredness, I made a few slip-ups!

the fine details really make you feel like you are in a y2k era mall. each store has its own unique atmosphere which i love - the scholastic store in particular (though it could use some i spy books). i also like how in the gamestop you can find the ill-faded panasonic 3do on the top shelf, probably collecting dust.
you even included those annoying time recorders employees use to punch out! awesome work.
