The author sent that on September 30th, so yeah the mod has been dead for a while now.

the montenegrin flag in vannila vic3 is horrendus. like not only do they not put the national flag they put a maritime flag that wouldnt even exist for the next 44 years from the begining of the game. though this is probably cos they dont give a single shit and just lazly copy serbian wikipedia which is jam packed with straight up nationalism. would go to explain why they always label montenegro as serbian in every single pne of their games. and straight up lieing in eu4

As crownsteler still has not provided me any guidance regarding his plans for the mod, I am going to begin more actively working towards getting the 1.7.5 adopted version produced. Anyone interested in helping with this project should visit the Anno 1836 discord channet and join as that will be where most of the daily development discussion will take place. I am still hoping that crownsteler will return to active development but with Paradox now announcing that 1.8 will be coming in the near future the need to get things updated is becoming more pressing.

I don't know the person and I hope he is doing alright, but if the main modder isn't responding to his co-modder at all for like over 3 months, I'm starting to doubt whether he can or is going to put any more time into it. So you might want to consider getting help from others in some way.

So maybe you can give permission for this Chinese guy, at least for the time when you release your update

@Braydo please read my post on 6 August - it is going to be many weeks before anything will be ready, as at present I am the only one working on this and can only do so in my free time.

when mod update?

Hello! I really like this wonderful mod, but when running on the Russian version, the new countries have FDM, APL, RTD, etc. instead of names. Is it possible to make a correct translation for the Russian version? I have never done modding, but I have a lot of free time, and I could try to do it. Maybe you have links to resources that correctly explain how to make translations without all sorts of fluff and long introductions?

The team at present is just myself, as crownsteler still remain off the radar. Until such time as I hear from him regarding bringing others into the team, I am the only one working on things, and only able to do so in my free time (I work 45-50 hours a week in my real-world job). I will continue to work on updating the mod, but I do not feel comfortable giving permissions for others to work on it without crownsteler's approval, since in the end crownsteler is the lead creator of the mod. And let's be honest, other modders taking things into their own hands to make a 1.7.5 update without our permission, as what happened over the weekend, is intellectual property theft plain and simple.

The unauthorized version was removed, so I should ask again - if some random Chinese person can update your mod before your team can do it, perhaps you should look inward first.

Update i am slowly working on porting over the mod so that it is 1.7.5 compatible. It will be a fairly slow progress but fingers crossed a base version for 1.7.5 might be ready by the end of September.

Warning to all followers of this mod, an unauthorized version has been made that claims it was updated to 1.7.5. This version was neither developed nor approved by either myself or crownsteler, and should be considered an illegitimate bootleg version of the mod, and we will NOT support any questions with it.

Update - I have started working on some preliminary updating of the mod to 1.7. Basically the mod is going to have to be re-built from scratch due to the map changes made in 1.7 so it is going to be a while before anything is ready. Also, I still have not heard anything from the lead author of the mod, so at present I do not know if he is still planning to work on it. If he isn't I will try to continue development though at present if I do end up moving forward alone I will probably start with a "light" version of the mod that only makes changes to the map itself.
