another suggestion for the mod could be Visible ID, as you can nickname your little pokemon lizards

There is also a pokeballs mod that goes really well with this

i know how to do a "normal" type lizard! they could be white with no abilities and are bsicly just white pink lizards

idea for normal type lizard: make it a sound-based lizard. In Pokemon, they often use normal as the type for sound-related moves and pokemon when nothing else fits. examples include the Whismur line and the moves Boomburst, Supersonic, Growl, etc.
