Thanks, RhinoRobb! It was a cold, dark and rainy day over here, so I have been working on my "Courting & Marriage 2". Things look promising, but there's still a lot of testing to do. I've set up the courting dialogues, although I'm not really happy with it, but at least it includes all NPCs in the game, including Salma and Beem-Ja, witchever you prefer and depending on the outcome of the Ironbind Barrow quest, one of them is traveling around Skyrim to find their savior. I also added Karita, the pilgrim halfway up the 7,000 steps. Although unique and essential, she is removed from the game after the player has met her. Beats me why. She now follows Salma's travels randomly (easiest to do).

What about the Nintendo Switch? Is this mod available for the Nintendo Switch if a create a Special Edition version of the mod?

I have been looking further into this problem. Salma and Beem-Ja seem to be the only two unique NPCs who do not have a fixed reference ID, simply because they are put into the game by quest and are removed from the game when the quest completes. At that point they simply don't exist anymore. As such they will receive a random reference ID. There are other unique NPCs without a fixed reference ID, but these NPCs can still be encountered during travels, among these Talsgar the Wanderer, the three revelers and the two random encountered boys. They are kept ingame by one or more WE (World Encounter) quests for as long as needed. I am now working on a new version of my "Courting & Marriage" mod. This mod will include Salma or Beem-Ja, depending on the outcome of the Ironbind Barrow quest and a few other changes. There was no need to create a copy of either Salma or Beem-Ja.

ok, that was after the Ironbind fight, to be able to continue her story. or maybe start a new adventure after she completes Ironbind Barrow.

I like the idea! I will do some more digging into quests related to Ironbind Barrow and Salma to see if I can use the original Salma. Otherwise, well no promises!

ok, I am testing the courting & marriage mod and so far iy is working great except on a couple of npc's like Salma, But if you could make another Salma with the ID # and I could give you a better back story for her such as, "After Ironbind Barrow and the betrayal of Beem-Ja, Salma wondered the woods thinking over what had happened and she began to wonder why the stranger spared her life. The stranger even seamed to want to become friends and probably would have wanted her to travel togeather. The stranger was a great fighter and Selma felt a stranger feeling for the stranger that she had never felt before. Salma began to look for the stranger only to learn that she had fought along side the Drragonborn.... What do you think?

I have had a look into Salma. She is already a unique NPC and she has the correct voicetype for the marriage conversation. However, she has no reference ID and she may disappear after clearing Ironbind Barrow or after defeating Beem-Ja.

The only thing I can think of at the moment, is not accepting to help her and Beem-Ja, not entering Ironbind Barrow, use "Courting & Marriage" on Salma for a period of 5 days and see what happens. If that doesn't work, the only thing I can do is to make a duplicate of Salma with a reference ID and somewhere for her to stay.

but she still cute, some one did a redguard but used apachii sky hair and it won't load in steam I wish it would work because their are severial different female followers that use that mod that players can't use those followers.

I went into the "courting & marriage" mod like you suggested and it didn't work on Salma but it worked on Lalia Law Giver, Jarl Elsith and aa number of other ladies, thank you for the suggestion

This mod only covers unique NPCs. Salma is not a unique NPC, but a templated one. You could my other mod "Courting & Marriage".

Giving her a few more lines is not possible for me as I am a not-native English speaking male.

What doe you mean with your question about Redguard/Nord children: additional lines of speach and clothing?

I have a question about Salma, the Redguard girl at Ironbind Barrow, is there a way to get her to be married and be a follower? I like her, she is cute and she fights well but she needs other outfits and maby a few more lines, also what about Redguard/Nord children has there been any thought to that?

This mod works in the same way as the marriage system in vanilla Skyrim. You have to speak to the priest in the temple of Mara in Riften, wear the Amulet of Mara (no ring!) and you have to meet all objectives of the NPC you want to address. As for Saadia, you will have to complete the quest "In my time of need" (in favor of Saadia ofcourse) before you will receive new dialogue.

Well, I also had some problems with Saadi. I could marry her, but she wouldn't move to one of my houses and just stayed in the Bannered Mare.

@The Lone Wanderer: This kind of remarks doesn't help a modder improve his work. What's the problem: load order, interference or conflicts with other mods, Skyrim's Radiant AI System, not met all quest objectives ... Any user can easily check this by using TES5Edit, notify the modder, or correct some problems by using LOOT, Wrye Bash and the like. Remarks like "don't get this mod" are not very appropriate as you don't give an indication of the problem.

@Antares: Thanks! You could try my latest marriage mod "Courting and Marriage". This mod should work with "To Have and to Hold", at least for me it did in marriage with Saadia.

@The Kittehkiin: Have you already completed the quest "Laid to Rest"? Jonna is involved in this quest and therefore the quest should be completed before she has the marriage conversation.

A good idea but sadly Saadia did not work and when i tried Ahlam, i found that the mod is sadly not compatible with "To Have and to Hold". It worked fine up to the wedding, and then the Bride did not show up. Probably because of the wedding clothe. Shame. but still: good work. and lots of it! ;-)

oh well then I guess no saadia for me I even used relationship commands on her afterwards, oh well.

Yes, she is! But, that's no problem in the game! The game allows you to marry anyone you like, male, female, married, single.
