That makes sense, I also remember being surprised at being able to write on it since when most mods have something like this, you usually can't write on it properly.

The shark tracker can't be moved because of a script that allows the pencil tool to have a tiny tip. Otherwise it would be so big you couldn't write on it.
I'm not a programmer. What I suggest is to have players each select the black color and then be allowed to see the shark tracker.

It's a very good mod, only minor complaint is I wish I could move the shark tracker thingy so I could show it to the other players.

Would be great if there was a way to make the shark tracker pad easier to write in, maybe a scripted way of inputting info into it? (ive seen stuff like yahtzee sheets do this in tts) Also making it a hidden red zone along with making the shark player red would be nice.
