Disabling the Screen Peek mod solved the issue.
it's sad that these two are not compatible. screen peek is one of my favourite mods.

Whenever i stab something with this spear, the game freezes

Is this incompatible with rebinding Spearmaster's generate spear key, or something? I have Rebind Everything on, and set my spear button to F(My movement keys are WASD), but when I press and hold "up"(W) while generating a new spear(holding F), all it does it make the spear pause generating.

Oh nevermind my monkey brain figured it out. You have to hold shift and top arrow to spawn one when your the purple slugcat.

It uses Spearmaster spears so making one without Downpour would be hard of not impossible. Unless you use some other type of spears.

Neat mod idea: The ability for spearmaster to grow spikes out of all his tail holes making enemies 1: not want to attack him & 2: enemies that do attack him take damage instead using up a certain amount of pips ofc or heck it make it where the player decides

I found some bugs: -if you have a puppet spear in your hand and go to a different room, it stops
working
-if your puppet is grabbed by something and you cease control of it, it
makes your camera not move

i pressed my up button while making a spear then stabbed a vulture and it dosent work at all and i also tried holding my up button and it still didnt work

tbh i love this mod also i love how you can control the vulture grub to summon as many vultures as you want and can spam it also is it possable if you could make it so that you could control batflys? if not then thats fine
