search 110 in the search bar of the parts,the swordfish will appear,220 will make the b_25 appear

click on the custom part after you place it, there should be a disassemble option in the part settings

I feel like I'm missing something. If I turn the plane into a custom part, it's no longer recognized as a plane. How do I add these to an existing ship?

it's not a mod... go to the workshop tab in the builder and it should show up as a workshop item

as far as I can tell there are no working plane mods rn so not sure how you would make these work but maybe in the future since next update we will get proper carrier aviation.
