what would be cool is to see a mod that allows you to slowly integrate cultures over time as the Italians are a good example of this, or to celebrate the sub cultures which might give them small buffs for a short period of time.

@Spaceracer You know what happens when a Hungarian and a Romanian meet and Transylvania comes up.
Red Leader 27. apr. 2022 kl. 16:03
@Bluejamathons I advise you to split Transylvania in two, with Wallachian culture in the south and Szekler (sub-hungarian) culture in the north (I know I miss German Saxons, but not a detailed enough map). So there will be no more debate about Transylvania and it is done.

Coud you make so that Castilian, Leonese and Aragonese should merge into Spaniard or something similar.

The Balkans always were on fire

@Dr.Frizo SenPaiO Hungarian slavs? We have like 3 to 4 holidays shared, thats to culture. And we have more Latin, German, Czech and Polish loan words than from Hungary, so not even linguistically. The only thing we share is our geographical location, the Carpathian basin. So you can think about this, and find your another ´facts´.

P.S. Fun fact you have more Slavic and Turkic words than German and Latin. Good Night.

@Dr.Frizo SenPaiO

(continuation)

Romanians (or proto-Romanians to be precise) have existed in Transylvania before there ever were avars or magyars or gepids or do you ascribe to the HUngarian propaganda that somehow the place was empty? Which is ironic given your accusation of Romanian propaganda, even though Czech, Slovaks, Croats and others pretty much agree that what you did to us happened to them also?
Kain 30. mar. 2022 kl. 5:29
@Dr.Frizo SenPaiO

Czhech are German Slavs?

Slovaks are Hungarian Slavs?

What mushrooms are you on?

Yes there has been mixing and yes the ethnogenesis of the Czech has some German influences, that does not make them Germans slavs.

As for slovaks they split, like the Czech from the Sloviens before the hungarians migrated into the carpathian basin.

If we were to take your theory seriously then we could call Hungarians like Magyar German Turks since they mixed in with the local Avars (Turkic) who themselves mixed with the Gepids (German) they conquered duting migration, who themselves mixed with the Celts native to the place when the Gepids migrated there. If we are to trace everything back to it's origins then that can be said about any ethnicity, however that does not change the fact that most people in HUngary only identify themselves with their Magyar heritage.

Can this be used with the Expanded Family?
Dr.Frizo BomBoClan 29. mar. 2022 kl. 14:11
@PopGabe yes, you are right xd
Dr.Frizo BomBoClan 29. mar. 2022 kl. 14:10
@LoLkovec What you say is absolutely legitimate. But you, as a Slovak, cannot say that you are not Hungarian Slavs, just as the Czechs cannot say that they are not German Slavs. Like the Austrians left their traces on us too. The start date would be good if people spitting on Romanian propaganda would also notice. During the reign of Matthias, settled a larger number Vlachs due to the lack of population and Ottoman expansions (the number of settlet vlachs are growing after the occupation of hungary). If you go after it you can find more maps, sources that show this and the Hungarian majority in the area at that time.
PopGabe 29. mar. 2022 kl. 13:50
@Dr.Frizo SenPaiO *Hungarian seething noises* :smilebox:
LoLkovec 29. mar. 2022 kl. 10:50
@Dr.Frizo SenPaiO Yes that cenzus was very unbiased toward non-Hungarians was it? And it was only asking what language you were majorly using, they did not ask if they were speaking Hungarian only for them to get a job or even to get some food from vendors. That is a classic Hungarian argument ´they were majority Hungarian´s there!´. You dont mention they had to be Hungarian. And also, you are talking about 19th. century cenzus? Man that´s about 450 years from the start of the game!
Dr.Frizo BomBoClan 29. mar. 2022 kl. 8:30
@Kain Yes the south slavic group are better to the albanians. The Transylvanians are not only romanians, learn history. The Transylvanian culture are inaccurate and unhistorical because in the region has a lot of cultures, romanians, székelys and saxons.
To the slovakian part-
-Read reports from the integration of nationalities in 19. century. The slovakians are the 3. most integratet nationality (after the germans and jews) in the country, due to cultural similarities with hungarians.

Kain couldn't have said it better
Kain 28. mar. 2022 kl. 13:06
@Dr.Frizo SenPaiO Transylvanians are Romanians and Slovaks are definitely not Hungarian. Albanians are also not Greek, they're their own separate branch. Also no Hungarians and Germans were not majoritarian in Transylvania at the time.

Japanese is not included yet, but I will consider it.

as for the suggestions, see discussions for elaboration.
Dr.Frizo BomBoClan 28. mar. 2022 kl. 9:07
Suggestions:
-Integration of Transylvanian and Slovakian culture as Hungary (because the transylvanian hungarians and slovakian culture very similar to the hungarian)
-Move Albanian Culture to another group (maybe to the greek)
PoKa 28. mar. 2022 kl. 4:37
It's Japanese Culture included?
jerry (fear me) 27. mar. 2022 kl. 11:08
The majority of Transylvanians are closer to Romanians, so it's good the way it is.
Bluejamathons  [ophavsmand] 26. mar. 2022 kl. 13:58
Sorry - I accidentally deleted the comment that Dr.Frizo was responding to. Why doesn't Steam have a confirmation to delete? Anyway, Transylvanian is a variety of Romanian dialects and every source I have found refers to the Transylvanians as thinking of themselves being descendants of the Romans, i.e. Romanian.

I was thinking of a way to make it so it's a bit more balanced, and after putting some thought into it and looking up possible conditions to use on the wiki, I'm working on it and hopefully can get an update out soon.

As for the other suggestions, I'll open a discussion for that.
Dr.Frizo BomBoClan 26. mar. 2022 kl. 4:54
At this time the Vlach are in minority in Transylvania, Hungarian and Germans are the major cultures.
Dr.Frizo BomBoClan 25. mar. 2022 kl. 12:14
the Transylvanian culture why is in the Romanian group?
The_Penis_Genius 24. mar. 2022 kl. 19:06
interesting mod concept. might be able to balance it better through spawning the new culture just in the player's capital, rather than to all provinces within the culture group? this way it would be more realistic and the player would have to work towards a centralized national culture. just a suggestion, but overall very cool mod!
