Great mod, only today I realised this was made by the ninja scout. I have used this mod for some time now.

for some reason when i leave a perfectly fine human standing in the same spot for a long time and i come back all there is is a skeleton on the ground

Before the game update, as soon as the body parts finished rotting they started to get "acid damage" which I assume it's what really causes the rotten flesh to disintegrate. The mod forces acid damage onto the rotten body parts. But after the update, fully-rotten bodies apparently just stay like that with no acid damage going on. I will have to try what @a-10 thunderbolt suggests.

Guys, the mod does actually work, I used another mod to speed up time and the body decomposed and left a skeleton. Also I only shot the human in the head and body then left the body.

I tried killing a decomposable human, same result. Body is 100% rotted but no signs of decomposition.

Could you try it by spawning a decomposable human instead of a human after enabling global decay?

I now tried the mod alone. Enabled global decay, killed a human with a vanilla weapon, waited for the body to rot completely but decomposition just never starts.

I always spawn the global decay item, and yet bodies just don't decompose after rotting. Although now I believe maybe another mod is causing problems.

@n.chiri Are you sure you are using the decomposable entities or have spawned the global decomposition item prior to spawning other entities?
If the answer to both of these is negative, then you won't be able to experience the additions of the mod. I tested it myself and it works fine.

I think it's broken after the 1.20 update, bodies no longer get "acid damage" after rotting completely.

I'm not too keen on that idea since it means that they would eventually die on their own. I'll see what I can do though.

I'm not sure how I would go about letting its speed be a customizable setting, though I think I'll just be speeding up the process in the next update anyway.

is there anyway to speed up Decomposition?

I don't think it worked for me, I shot one of the decomposition dummies in the head, waited until it was 100% rotted, and nothing happened. I was using a modded-in gun for the test, but other then that, everything else was normal.

Keep in mind that as of yesterday's update, bodies will only turn into skeletons AFTER rotting completely.
Let me know if it still doesn't work even on completely rotten bodies.
