Hi there! In a previous update on the kickstarter, the team mentioned there would be an update to the game on Tabletop Simulator around mid-April, with the new game balancing and updated rules.
Does anyone know what the progress on that is?

@NoobAprende - Spots on Supply board are unlimited - so yes you can build even 12 buildings in a round if you can afford it. ;)

@Thanos Thank you for the kind words. We are overheating the Generator over here for the game to be best possible experience. We are very glad with all the changes we've made. Can't wait to share it!

The game's really hard af. I am an avid Frostpunk fan and playing it in its current state, kind of discouraged me after trying multiple times. I will still get the board game/wait for an update on the TTS as I do enjoy the challenge it poses. But honestly, right now there seems only a very specific path of building that allows you to manage your hunger/resources at a steady pace. In my playthrough, it took me 5 hours to get to a stable point, one where I can progress.
Still, heartfelt thanks to the Author and the work he put into the Tabletop version! All the time you invested into this, made it really enjoyable for the most part.
Waiting on devs to work more on the rules so that it will be playable for a normal audience lol.

@generalTeo yes. And if you choose not to return but to continue your expedition, you will not have to walk that one extra space.

Question : I return from an expedition that says B . I turn it white side up again and place a B expedition white side up on top of it so that the first space of the previus one is visible. Do we do this so that the new expedition has one more space to finish? is this visible space one more that the new scout has to walk on? so if the B was 4 spaces on its own now it will be 5?

Frostpunk the videogame was an experience i will never forget. I loved this game and i am so happy that a board game is out. I don't know if my comment flood seems weird but the only reason i do it is because i love frostpunk and i know that creators need all the fan feedback they can get on the early alpha stages of the game so i m doing the most i can to point out all things that i encounter while playing.

Another card that feels a bit weird is the "heated workspace request" morning card(E007). On the one hand the game makes it clear that there are 3 different insulation levels on buildings but on the other hand the game also makes it clear that there are no different levels of heat. The insulation level shows how hard it is to heat them but once you heat them they count as heated. actions are either heated or not. which makes you think that a yellow building is as heated as a red one if it is on a heated tile. There is no lots of heat and a little heat in the game. and suddenly this card suggests that people can work in heated actions but they are not so heated after all and they are unhappy.

@Lord Lodberg about D007 i don't know it still seems a bit off to me. The morning card says "prove your intend by sending an expedition". You could literally have 3 expeditions finished which is tons of work towards trying to find them and get punished for that one day you didnt start a new one. i guess the dusk card could give you the positive effect if you have an expedition going OR if you have 2 finished expeditions to make a little more sense to me.

You first need to flip Gravely ill to Syringe side to be able to Cure to 0.

@GeneralTeo The first few times I also kept restarting after messing something several rounds ago. After about 5 times everything is a rutine and I notice faster and can most often "rewind".

D007 makes perfect sense to me since dusk happens right after action phase, so you can always have an ongoing expedition. You have to keep searching. If you give up the search, bad stuff happens.

The gravely ill to 0 question is great. I want to know as well.

Question about rule. Maybe i 'm not seeing something in the rules or else this is not clear. when i have a gravely ill token(skull side) but it's near the start of the track. like only 1 sick but gravely sick. to move this token to 0 sick people i have to first use the "flip all gravely tokens" treatment and then use a second treatment to move it back or do can i move the skul token back to 0 and it immidiately counts as having 0 sick people? it doesnt say anywhere in the rules "a gravely ill token cannot go back to 0. it must be on the syringe side to be able to go to 0"

Also i am skeptical about the dusk card "have we found them?"(D007). it gives you the positive effect if you have an ongoing expedition only. but it doesnt make sense to punish you if you have done many expeditions but you happen to not have an ongoing one. the guy wanted us to send an expedition to search for the missing people. So you send an expedition, it finishes and then the dusk card punishes you even though you did what he asked for.

The automaton request morning card is wrong. it should say on 2nd option in the end : remove this card from the game. As it is right now, you build the automaton they request, the card stays on event display and the dusk card punishes you even though you did what they asked for.

Finally! i beat the game! child labor first round. extra rations for the ill(never used it. took it for the stats),new faith, food additives. shelter redesign, lighter scout sleds. Barely achieved Victory level 3! As in the videogame things snowball in this game. you do good, it snowballs good. you do bad it snowballs bad.

question for everyone that has played : In most of my runs i realised at some point that i had forgoten about a rule or something and that was ruining my game because whatever i had achieved by that point didnt matter since i was playing upon a broken rule. did this happen a lot to you also? examples : 3-4 rounds later i realised that i used 2 expeditions at once without upgraded beacon, sometimes i realised that i was forgetting to pay the 1 coal for automaton for the past rounds, sometimes after some rounds i realised i was forgetting to raise the generator starting cost after storm hit. and lots of other similar things that cannot be traced back to fix because multiple things happened after them. and that makes me go "oh... another ruined run.... restart".
Maybe i need to be more focused i dont know, but its really frustrating to stop runs in the middle not by losing but because of this.

Very minor remark: Wouldn't it make sense for the central tower prop to have a "Metal" material instead of a "Plastic" one in TTS?

i managed to get a perfect win after around 20 trys - but it was all luck. Got lucky with A and B tiles, so that most ressource-rich tiles where in a circle + fast gathering. Drew not a single negativ morning card until lategame and drew mostly positiv cards in the Evening. That damn game is so hard, i really can't wait for more updates in the future. i love it^^

Ok we've managed to win it with New Order+Shelter Heaters+Food additives+Child Labor. A little bit trickier than with field kitchens, but possible

@Umber Eternus have you won with or without child labor? I have a hard feeling that its nearly impossible to win without Child Labor turn 1, this 2 extra actions is too crucial early game

@ricu Yes Field kitchens is how i finally got that win too i hadn't used them in my other tries and tried to upgrade the tents but it just takes way too much wood and actions, protecting the tents with field kitchens protects so many actions and wood it becomes possible to win it feels, now it still wasn't a easy win as seen by the fact i only got level 1 (in all categories too not a single was in 2nd category) so i think that more a sign other strategies does't hold up to that one and need to be buffed rather then field kitchens being too good

I've added some scripts for quality of life features. "Return meeples" button to auto search all the meeples on the board and return them to meeples pool, and "Resolve Generator phase" button to speed up the generator phase fiddling

I've managed to barely win it in 5 or 6 tries and i have some game balance feedback to share. New Order seems supremely inferior to New Faith. Field Kitchen is basically the only way to cope with the storms, because otherwise upgrading your tents to higher levels require tremendous amount of wood and actions, EVEN with the Shelter Redesign technology. Plus, its really hard to make it through the late stages of the game without a Temple, because at some point it becomes inevitable that 1 of your citizen per turn will die (one turnover on the preparation phase, and one on the Generator Phase, because of the ridiculously high heat range). So you will constantly lose Hope, which Temple helps to replenish. I guess New Order needs some buffs, maybe removing Engineer-only icon from Propaganda Center (which will basically give you another engineer per turn, because in its current state it doesn't acutally have any applications).

I got my First win after 5 tries, was only a Level 1 win but it felt so good to finally win, the laws and dusk and morning deck played my way pretty well, loving the game, it took like 6 hours to get that win, we definitely over analysed every move as best we could so took alot of time thinking everything over :P

@LRpaul145 Unfortunatly I am unable to do this right now, however what I could suggest is (and pick one or more of the options below):
- reduce starting sick citizens amount by 2 / 4
- add 2 wood to your starting Supply
- add 2 coal to your starting Supply

This way you'll make the game quite a bit easier but still have challange!
