Possibly, I will need to look at the appropriation policy logic and event triggers in 3.0 and see if they have changed.

As in, will it interfere with starnet given that the mod hasn't been updated for a while and starnet has...

It isn't what I meant.
I've tested the mod with a normal (non genocidal/servitor/assimilator) machine empire and despite the fact that the policy shows up it doesn't make any difference

Ok, updated so it now shows a tooltip if you are a servitor or an assimilator saying you can't take it. (No nice prose text yet, just the raw condition tooltip, will replace if I can find a good tooltip)

Oh, and also you need to establish communications with at least one other empire. The policy won't even show up until you do.

@riddemon Something that wasn't documented in the original mod that I carried over here is that if you are a Machine Servitor or a Machine Assimilator, you don't get the option. I am looking into making this show a tooltip instead in this case.

Tested on 2.7.1 with a previously created machine empire.
