Hey man, idk if you still play EU4 but a lot has changed and I have come across your mod right now and am interested in continuing it further! If you don't mind, I would like to create a mod using this as a foundation and build it up to be balanced and playable, keeping in line with your original objective. I would give all credits to you ofcourse!:steamhappy:

Update Emporer :(

@jd.bardwell the problem is that the mod has not been updated, if you check up top it says updated for 1.5. from the date of your comment, I would say you are either using 1.6, the wealth of nations update, or 1.7, the res publica update. If you want to use the code from this mod, you are going to have to copy it from either veritas et fortitudo, which borrows some elements, or Pax Sinica, which is a spiritual succesor focused on all of asia instead of just ming. However, it changes the map making conversion to Victoria 2 impossible if you want a partial mega-campaign. My advice? if you want a game of just EU4, use Pax Sinica for the added features. If you want to port to Victoria 2, you either have to modify Pax Sinica to remove the map changes, or wait for a overhaul that doesn't change the map.

Hey Emporer, are there any mods that Sina Invicta isn't compatible with. I'm asking because I really love the concept of your mod and I'm trying a new Ming playthrough with it. However, after about 15 months in-game, the entire thing crashes. I'd like to continue using your mod, but this instability might force me to scrap it. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

FYI, here is a list of mods I am running:
1356 Timeline Extension
Additional Trade Routes
Even Better Terra Incognita
Expanded Advisors
Flags Improvement Pack
Heirs and Rulers Education Mod
More Straits
Overlord Reconquest CB
Southeast Asia Units GFX
Voluntary Abdication
'We have casus belli' mod
World Colonisation

Is there a direct download?
Disaster Gay of Crisis 24 MAR 2014 a las 21:24
@Armistice. Pax Sinica expands (or plans to expand) Asia as a whole, this just expands Ming.

@Emperor. Fantastic mod idea, though does kicking out the Eunuchs create a new political faction or what? The Eunuchs are a pretty good faction to have due to how much trade they could bring in and the Eunuchs were primarily the people who ran Ming's spy service.

Also do you plan on making a compatibility verions for Pax Sinica? This would be awesome to have in it.
echolot 10 MAR 2014 a las 1:47
@ Emperor.
Great! Many thanks :)
Shark 9 MAR 2014 a las 20:27
thanks for the web update!
misha 9 MAR 2014 a las 18:06
Also, not to sound competetive or anthing but what is the difference between Sina Invicta and Pax Sinica? Again I don't want to seem as being critical but I'm looking to play as the Ming eventually and am wondering which one is, I suppose more flavourful.

Cheers

Well does that sound interesting.

1.4 doesn't work - error message has something to do with Iroquoi rifles or something.
Giffica 18 ENE 2014 a las 14:20
Hey can you update for 1.4?

seems to not like 1.4 for what ever reason.

Hi, am i allowed to use ur idea to build my own mod with acknowledgements?
Deadlyman89 29 DIC 2013 a las 20:32
@Sidi1
There has been some issues, one work around is to subscribe, launch the game to the main menu, quit, and restart steam. Or put the mod from the alternate download link in the mod folder in the mydocument/paradoxinteractive folder.
Sidi 29 DIC 2013 a las 11:19
So i'm new to uploading mods for steam games, and I'm not sure how to get this one working for EU4. I hit the 'subscribe' but nothing changed? So he said that it might not work with the current version so I downloaded the file in the link but I dont know where to put it... any help would be appriciated. Thanks.
Retromach 25 DIC 2013 a las 14:49
Great mod! The Celestial Empire still has the weaker Chinese units, so you still get savaged by Russia, but you don't fall so far behind as to render the entire excercise hopeless. Good fun!

Great mod idea. As a Ph.D. student of history I love EU4 but it is decades behind current historical thought in regards to how the game handles westernization. It gives Western countries too large a bonus too early. This manages to minimize those ahistorical models without compromising core game mechanics.
las 24 DIC 2013 a las 2:54
While this seems promising and excting, yet the latter 3 desicion seems weird to me,as it's representing more toward social difference than actual institutional advance.
Also moving capital back to Chang'an is quite unlikely since its envirment had worsen and encomic center shifted.
Father Thyme 23 DIC 2013 a las 22:56
Cool mod so far, but it's been 12 years and I don't have the mandate of heaven back yet. Help?
Sm2Co17 23 DIC 2013 a las 22:21
@Darkath Yes. Having all your leaders (after the first) as 4-6 ADM power IS VERY VERY VERY lucky. You really shouldn't be using one playthrough as your assessment. At the very least, it should be Hard mode with Historical Lucky Nations and AI bonuses on.
Darkath 23 DIC 2013 a las 21:56
For the reforms, i think they should all have the -50 legitimacy hit like the first one. Loss of legitimacy in addition to loss of mandate of heaven really is painful. As for the cost, it's mostly related to stability, and if you happen to be at +3 stability when you pass a reform, you don't really have to spend that much ADM, if you take advantage of the numerous stability events of ming. I didn't have any trouble to keep up with adm, but then again, all my leaders after the first were stellar administrators (4-6), so maybe i was just very very very lucky
lordtidus12 23 DIC 2013 a las 18:17
amazing mod! thanks!
Sm2Co17 23 DIC 2013 a las 14:40
The problem for Ironman Ming is really when the Europeans come knocking later in the game. This mod simply gives Ming the ability to resist being conquered. The ability to do so is historically accurate as no European power was ever able to grab more than some small holdings, and even then, they didn't begin doing so until 30-80 years after 1821. This stands in contrast with the Ironman experience wherein Russia usually takes half of Ming by 1821. If you're good, you'll have most of East, South East, North East, and North Asia conquered/vassalized by the 1700s, even without Westernizing. 3/4 of Japan belonged to me, 100% of Korea, 1/2 of Manchuria, 100% of Oirat Horde, and 90% of South East Asia. On top of that, I had colonized all of Siberia before Muscovy could step one foot past Perm, as well as all of the colonies in the Philippines/Indonesia/Malaysia. To do this, your Idea Group order should be Exploration,Expansion,Diplomatic
Sm2Co17 23 DIC 2013 a las 14:23
@Darkath I disagree about the ease of passing reforms. If you add up the total ADM MP costs for completing all the reforms, you'll see that it is an enormous sum. It heavily sets back the ability to keep up with ADM tech levels until the reforms are completed. I roughly estimate the total sum to be at 3000.
Sm2Co17 23 DIC 2013 a las 14:10
@Darkath oh you're right! My mistake. I didn't wait until the end of the month.
Darkath 23 DIC 2013 a las 10:12
@comaprison in my game, the decision properly removed the inward perfection, as in this mod inward perfection is a strategic effect triggered only if you have factions.
Darkath 23 DIC 2013 a las 10:10
So i played a game until the 1600s by then i had completed all the reforms and diplo-annexed most of east asia (including oirats, korea and japan with PUs). I think the reforms are great but i think there are not enough negative effects, it's too easy to pass the reforms and become overpowered very fast.
Sm2Co17 23 DIC 2013 a las 6:00
Can you possibly make your mod compatible with the Timeline 9999 mod? The campaign-long modifiers in your mod continue to expire in 1821 instead of enduring until 9999. Campaign-long modifiers that are original to the unmodded version of the game are successfully extended by the Timeline 9999 mod to expire in the year 9999. Link for the mod is here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=170269728

If you are unwilling or unable to make your mod compatible with Timeline 9999, can you possibly tell me how to do it myself? Thank you.
Salaraj 23 DIC 2013 a las 5:40
Really great work! Only minor issue I have is that events which occur after removing the factions still refer to them. I guess you would have to create completely new events for Ming and disable the old faction ones.
Christopher-Eduardo 22 DIC 2013 a las 15:03
Thanks for this :)

What exactly is required for these new decisions (the ones which reduce Ming's tech penalty) to be visible? I'm not seeing any of them, despite having met the requirements in the description.
