@Varg thank you for posting the problem, I made the modifications and it works now.

Seconding that the mod is bugged, has a typo (colonizeable written instead of colonizable).

i know this is an old mod that hasn't been updated in a while but i wanted to put this here for anyone who is still using it.

there is a compatibility issue with the "UI Overhaul Dynamic" mod which makes uninhabited worlds get marked as habitable for purposes of crafting megastructures (which, in turn, causes most megastructures to be unbuildable). seems to work fine without the UI mod from what i can tell.

After this update, this mod has basically lost its role in the game, such as the function of "constructing multiple giant buildings at the same time". Can the author update it?

There's a typo in the text files under common\megastructure
Typo: "colonizeable_planet"
Correction: "colonizable_planet"

It's causing the game to not allow megastructures to be build on planets. The error message in-game saying it must be surveyed and on a non-habitable world.

You can fix this by going to the workshop folder yourself and changing each text file in it or wait for the author to update.

hey is it possible to build a dyson sphere and a mega shipyard in the same system with this mod?
UknowitsE 10. nov. 2021 kl. 15:06
might be a compatibility issue with a terraforming mod i have...I think things like the science nexus dont allow to be built once I can terraform all the planets cuz they have that non habitable planey viability requirement and I am trying to figure out just quite where the line is that will change it by looking at habitats but am having trouble.

@FGRaptor, since there is a megastructure build modifier for the empire, why not just add a +1000 to it?

Wow. thanks FG

Updated.
The new Aetherophasic engine will also not block construction when upgrading.

I am still working on an idea to remove these restrictions without overwriting the megastructure files, but not found a solution yet, since the restrictions are still in the files directly :/
FGRaptor  [ophavsmand] 23. apr. 2021 kl. 10:37
I am working on it.

I think this needs an update, because it no longer works

Gigastructural Engineering Compatibility?
Knightmage Bael 2. maj 2020 kl. 12:46
Is there a ringworld mod that's updated that allows allowed segments from 4 to 8? I like the ringworld to be completely filled out, but many mods are like...

"you like ring worlds? TRIPLE TIER RINGWORLD EACH ONE WITH 24 SEGMENTS" or something ridiculous. xD I just want something reasonable lmao

Porter 17. apr. 2020 kl. 0:51
im going to take it this is going to need an update ?
dashiell8 16. apr. 2020 kl. 20:42
Please update to 2.6.3

Does this mod work with Gigastructural Engineering?
Jack Jack Attack 2. apr. 2020 kl. 15:49
Maybe make the cap tied to a recurring tech, which only targets specific Megastructure types? So you might have "Extended Black Hole Exploitation" which lets you build a second Matter Decompressor, "Galactic Post-Culture" lets you build a second Art Installation, and so on. These techs would only become available after you've built the first one. Creates a buffer between building your first megastructure of a given type and building your second, which encourages diversification.

Getting a weird error when trying to enable this. "This mod is missing the descriptor file. Please contact the author of this mod."
sztrzask 29. mar. 2020 kl. 12:50
Does it work with real space system scale mod? Ehh, why I'm asking, I'll just subscribe and check myself :)
Balder 27. mar. 2020 kl. 15:42
I agree with mr. Scrublord - a scaling limit like the other mod would be great. If that also allows it to work with gigastructures, even better!

I've no idea what is possible, but it struck me that having the scaling limit be affected by Master Builders and Architectural Renaissance Ambition would make it feel more smoothly integrated into the game. Just a thought. Keep up the great work :-)
FGRaptor  [ophavsmand] 27. mar. 2020 kl. 2:33
That is actually an interesting idea. I have been thinking of another way to do this and to have it work for all megastructures even from other mods. Might include some kind of flexible cap increase as your empire progresses too.
Scrub 26. mar. 2020 kl. 18:15
this mod combined with a similar mechanism from your "better titan / juggernaut / colossus limits" mod would be perfect in my eyes, as the amount of snowballing that is possible with the current lack of a cap is a bit much. Keep up the good work!
FGRaptor  [ophavsmand] 23. mar. 2020 kl. 3:57
Yes it is compatible. But it does not remove any restrictions from the gigastructure mod (some of them use the "you can only build a few at a time" thing) as this is not a global setting (unfortunately)
It actually annoys me a bit, so I might ask the gigastructure guy if I can make an edit to remove the limits
TheEventHorizon 22. mar. 2020 kl. 16:02
so is this compatible with gigastructural engineering?
Deth 22. mar. 2020 kl. 9:31
thanks mane
FGRaptor  [ophavsmand] 22. mar. 2020 kl. 2:17
You can use both together (I do too), this mod doesn't change any files that gigastructures does.
Deth 21. mar. 2020 kl. 4:42
doth it work with giga stuctures
