Okay the difference between Dark One and Adversary is a nice headcanon which won't be forgotten. Also it's completely fine. take your time. Time for yourself is more important than any mod in the world

I did go back to fix up Dark One's art during the VS screen but that was about it. I know some sprites look off or even a bit dated, which is totally on me. I was still learning how to do decent consistent sprites that fit the artstyle and aren't too amateurish. I really do want to return to spriting and creating more gender swapped characters. I have some unfinished Pestilence sprites I've worked on for over a year but never got around to finishing them. I have brainstorming designs for the Harbingers, but I keep going on and off about doing so. Personal problems and such do take away the time I have to make these mods possible and just my own interest in them. Some day I will update Adversary and Dark One to be a little more on par with my standards.

Thanks a ton for your review, I appreciate some constructive criticism on my mods. When it came to modding The Adversary and The Dark One, I had ideas, and some headcanons about their personalities along with their designs. My process was that Dark One would be this chill, kind of a lazy character that didn't bother to wear anything, was a bit chubby, and didn't even care too much in battle, hence their idle animation.

Compare that to when they're 'reborn' as The Adversary, they're stronger, both physically and in combat. Their attitude and personality overall had a complete 180, they're more serious, hardened, and just more relentless. The battle damage was permanent leaving them with a broken horn, several damaged limbs and their less than stellar haircut. I tried to add that bit of lore to Dark One's death animation. The horn shape inconsistencies is my fault.

Love the resprite, have it installed for like 1 1/2 years now, but I think your Dark One version does not really look like Addie, as they are technically the same boss ( Wiki calls Adversary the "posthumous" version iirc), but more like they are just related as sisters or smth, yk? Would love to see them look more similar in both hair and body shape (also the horn(s) look different)

@LewdLemur I've always considered updating the versus sprite to look more "Isaac". It's not top priority but I am getting around to changing it soon.

The ingame sprite looks top notch, but i gotta say the versus screen looks a little too much like "im not from isaac" you know, it has an art style thats not really fitting well into the game, but besides that its a nice mod

I have been working on sprites again and I'm liking how they're turning out. I'm glad mod support is back so I can now see them in-game. I'm hoping to at least release Pestilence first and then the rest of the Horse(wo)men later as I'm still perfecting their designs. Thanks for sticking by all these pasts months I hope to not disappoint.

How is progress of new mod going now?
Mod support got added in Repentance DLC, and now you can test sprites in-game.

Progress is slow unfortunately, I've got some sprites done but there are far many I'm not comfortable with how they look. And now that there's a new update for Isaac, mods have been disabled for the time being so I can't test anything for the time being. It may be a while before anything is done so please don't expect anything too soon.

@Sauce F. Naught That's understandable. Animating gore is hard, especially in pixels. Anyway, how Pestilence's reskin mod making progress going?

@Beep Boy I thought about adding one for a while, but I personally am not feeling up to that task again because finishing the Dark One's death animation took so long to create. I wouldn't want to put myself through that much work again, perhaps I'd compromise and make something less "visceral" so that I don't have to spend too much time animating so much gore at once.

Can you add death animation to this reskin? Dark One has it, but Adversary doesn't have it.
