1. Did you delete sound.cache from gamefolder/sound?
2. Did you delete the mod folder within the addons folder?
3. Did you verify integrity of game files?

Yes i use Audacity, I amplified the track and when I play both original file and custom track the volume are almost identical

@VicNic What program do you use to make your own music? If it's Audacity, you have to increase the volumes to make it work

No it was all normal, when I play with the original escape run I can hear it well when I install my song I can barely hear it that's what I don't understand.

@VicNic Perhaps the volume in the game options are too low or the volumes on your computer may be too low also

Helo, I tried to make an escape music addon of my own but when I test it the volume is barely audible. When I compare the original file with the replacement track the volumes are similar if not identical so what might I have done wrong?

I love the music and the mod but it's much quieter than everything else. The mod doesn't seem to be connected to the "music volume" slider OR the "snd_musicvolume x" command, but instead the "game volume" slider in the settings. Is there any way I can make it louder?

@König Same thing happened to me, but strangely, this doesn't replace the tank music, it just replaces the escape music.

Also strangely, despite a mod conflicts with, it still works. I'm not sure why.

Have you installed more than one tank music? If yes, then make sure you disable it.

If that didn't work, let me try to update it.
