This is one of my favorite mods and the main reason I have held off from playing the special/anniversary edition. I wish it was available for those copies

J'ai conçu Country Castle comme un château sans fief. Il existe de nombreux exemples de châteaux sans tours centrales en Europe et de nombreux châteaux sont conçus en fonction du paysage environnant. Correct, this mod does not interfere with Lakeview Manor. There's actually a boat system to get back and forth between Lakeview and the Country Castle Dock.

Since this mod does not incorporate Hearthfire, you will need a separate mod to move your family here.

I actually set up the jail such that you can be imprisoned, but I don't know if it works.

The castle is not "free" in the sense that it's just sitting there for you to walk in and make yourself at home. First you fight to gain control of it, then you pay for upgrades.

Is the castle "free" as I don't add "free" real estate to my Skyrim, might sound strange, but I likr to balence the eco, those that are free, i lock the doors in CK and make them available to buy for gold :)

I commented on this a while ago, when I first subscribed to this. I just wnated to say that the latest update to this makes it even better! I very rarely comment on this stuff, but this is one of my favourite mods.
Its awesome and I love just exploring my castle.

just found this castle the other day on here, and ill tell you , out of all the other player holmes ive subscribed to, i enjoy this one so much that i started a new acocunt just so i can use this house from the beginning of the game. great job on this one. always wanted to own one of the forts.

I just uploaded another update! More castle upgrades and minor quests are available. New options include building a shelter for children, rescuing orphans, adding bedrolls to the Royal Keep, adding a secret entrance directly to the Undercastle from outdoors, and more lighting options. Also made some minor changes, to be more compatible with Bluecreek Estate, and to change the destination of the Wizard tower teleport slightly to a cooler location.

Sadly, my hardware doesn't meet the minimum requirements of the Special Edition, so the castle will stay basic for awhile at least.

This was a huge mod! Very well done and as far as I could tell there was no glitches! I didn't care for that the place was mostly underground with very few options to add life to it. And after tons of trying with the right mod to move my family in and having no luck I had to give up and un-sub.

There are a couple of keys to the Castle that are located in Hearth Hall. On the front mantle you should find a loose key and a key box with more keys.

Thanks, reloaded my gsme smf there it was. But I'm locked out of the royal chambers. Is there a key somewhere I missed? I freed the servants and upgraded everything, but it won't let me in there.

The castle should be there, nothing special required. It's on the map and you should be able to fast travel to it.

Does this mod require a fresh restart? Cause I been all over anise's cabin area and the only thing like a castle is that temple thing up there.

The guards are set to allow any crime, they are initially set to like you a lot (I mean you did bring them back from certain doom), and Country Castle has its own crime faction and jail system, so if they attack you I'm guessing one of them was accidentally attacked or killed. Make sure you've read the Decree of Ownership that makes you the leader of the castle and guard factions. It's located in a bookshelf on the top floor of the Royal Keep.

The key to the Royal Keep is in the Key Box located on the front mantle in the Hearth Hall.

The steward's name is Crayton Gillie.

The steward is located on the first floor of the Square Tower. Outside, the Square Tower can be entered from the courtyard between the jail and Hearth Hall; there are farm animals and a wood chopping block next to the door. It can also be entered from the Undercastle Library via a stepladder in the top corner. If you enter the Square tower from the castle ramparts you'll be on the second floor, which has an easel, and you'll have to open the trapdoor to get to the first floor.

The steward also wanders to places like the Dining Hall, but he will only do business in the Square Tower.

I just retried Custom Family Home and it still works for me.

First, go to your "Powers" menu and select "Move Family." Then hit the shout button or key or whatever you have your Powers linked to, and follow the 20+ steps. Since Country Castle has its own Housecarl, Bard, and Steward, I selected "No" to move the vanilla ones in.

The new location won't show up in your spouse's "I'd like us to move somewhere else" menu; the Custom Family Home actually overrides the menu once you complete the steps.

Seems to function okay, but there are large sections of the castle that are invisible.

i am having trouble with the modd the castle is not appearing on the map does anyone else have this problem?

I don't know how to program clothing changes. The way the game is set up, NPCs revert to their default clothing when they're not following you.

My only wish is that I can control what the gaurds wear. I don't much fancy my gaurds wearing traditional hold guard armor.

There are mage lamps you can turn on in the Crafting Hall to brighten it, one on each floor.

You can convert the den area into a children's bedroom with two beds by talking to the steward. With 5 kids they would probably need to share. Or take over an army barracks...

I love this mod... however can you add a childs room, I have 5 children from another mod... PLEAAASE. I really just want an awesome safe family home for me my wife and my 5 children lol, can you make multiple children possible... brighten the mages tower and craft hall.

This mod... Simply F****** amazing... i mean damn! Thats what i really wanted, and it was missing in this game!
