@Fellex
That sounds weird as hell, not sure why it would do that. If I ever reinstall I'll look into it, sorry for the inconvenience.
Fellex 24. jan. 2018 kl. 16:23
Good mod, however it disables combat music at higher levels for some reason..
Nyek 3. dec. 2015 kl. 5:41
Oh ok, thanks :)
veg  [ophavsmand] 2. dec. 2015 kl. 15:10
This mod won't hide your helmet, it just changes some perks so that you can get the "full set" armour bonuses with no helmet equipped.

If you want to wear your helmet but have it hidden, you might want to look into the "Helmet Toggle" [www.nexusmods.com] mod or something similar.
Nyek 2. dec. 2015 kl. 5:24
hey man, I was wondering if you can explain how to hide my helmet then? I subscribed to this mod and i enabled it at that start launcher thingie when you load up skyrim. When i go ingame and put on my helmet, its still showing :c How can i make it dissapear ?
Tyger 19. okt. 2015 kl. 3:47
thanks
veg  [ophavsmand] 19. okt. 2015 kl. 3:47
I think as long as the circlet doesn't say "Heavy" it should be okay
Tyger 19. okt. 2015 kl. 3:42
And say if I want to wear a circlet with my light armor, would that stop the perks from working?
veg  [ophavsmand] 18. okt. 2015 kl. 16:00
The blue warning means that the armour you're wearing must all be the same weight type for the perks to work. So, if you have the light armour perks, make sure none of the armour you're wearing says "Heavy" because it will prevent the light armour perks from working and vice versa.

You shouldn't have to unequip or requip anything to make it work.
Tyger 18. okt. 2015 kl. 4:44
so the warning in blue means that I have to unequip and requip what ever I'm wearing at that time to activate the perks?

Bethesda really should add a "hide helmet" option with their next game(It is one of the few things ZOS got right with ESO:D) I am a guy with long hair, and I like my characters, no matter what gender they are, to have long hair, and it sucks for all that to be hid by a helmet that I am forced to use for a set bonus:( and tbh, i dont care for most of the helmets in this game to begin with. Daedric looks OK... but my characters face is completly hidden when wearing it, which is a huge bummer.
Lednard 7. nov. 2014 kl. 9:01
Ok , thanks a lot
veg  [ophavsmand] 7. nov. 2014 kl. 0:43
It should work with armor mods so long as they use vanilla material types. E.G. If a new helmet is added and it counts as a steel-typed item, it should work with this mod.
If your armor weights match (like in your example of daedric + ebony - both classed as heavy) the mod should work.
If you find that it doesn't work as described, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
Lednard 5. nov. 2014 kl. 14:04
Sorry, but I have some questions:
Does it work with armor mods ?
Can I wear a Helmet different from the rest of my armor but still have the bonuses if the armor and the helmet are both Heavy Armor ? (like if i had a daedric armor, gloves and boots, but a ebony helmet)
Raven™ 20. okt. 2013 kl. 22:58
Interesting mod. Has anyone heard of one similar to this that is for cloaks? Cloaks from mods are considered light armor and it really ruins heavy armor wearers not being able to get the perk just from having one equipped. Anyone know if there's any mods that fix this?
veg  [ophavsmand] 12. sep. 2013 kl. 23:56
@Arbuckle
That's odd. I tested it just now and it works for me.
Make sure you're not wearing any light armor, including your shield (if you have one).
Arbuckle 12. sep. 2013 kl. 11:53
Doesn't work with Nordic armor for me for some reason?
Frasier on Star Trek 17. aug. 2013 kl. 12:34

That helmet is from NWN
CentralNexus 6. aug. 2013 kl. 11:26
I have always found it odd that people recognize you in a closed helm -- That shouldn't be a given -- I would have liked some sort of "Dragonborn?" or "Do I know you?" comments. Ah well Truth be told I find myself feeling like I should take off my helm when I talk to people, which is a pain and sometimes you forget to put it back on. A mistake that could cost you a hundred points or more on your armor rating.

Plus there is always the odd comments -- about you being sick, you look a little pale, or having fur in your ears - HOW can they tell if you are wearing a closed helm all the time?
jess 4. aug. 2013 kl. 23:34
Zap the Liar, I don't like them because they cover up all the work that I spent making my character. I do rather enjoy seeing the face I spent an hour perfecting.
2BitSlow 4. aug. 2013 kl. 22:28
@-=GHS=- Zap the Liar They don't look right with certain sets of armour. I LOVE the Steel Heavy Armour... But I hate the Helmets... Daedric is fine. Another reason may be that we like to see our characters faces. I like seeing my Argonian in Nordic Carved Armour---without the helmet. I put the shrouded cowl from the Dark Brotherhood on because: A-I'm an archer assassin; B-It makes my character look Badass. We all have our preferences though. (I just like seeing my character's face...)
ZapSnap 4. aug. 2013 kl. 21:12
What do people not like about helmets exactly? o.O
bitch 3. aug. 2013 kl. 23:11
i HAAAAATE helmets xD thank you
veg  [ophavsmand] 3. aug. 2013 kl. 20:12
@The Grim Milkman
No problem, and thanks for the feedback!

@Viktor
Really? When I tested it this morning/2 hours ago everything worked as intended.
I think this was an issue with the first version of the mod, because I had the matched set perk as
"If [set type] == 3 pieces"
but I've since changed the operator to >= so it should work fine, and as I mentioned I tested it earlier.
Are you sure you're not mixing armor types? If you've got the heavy perks and are wearing heavy armor, but then equip a light helm, you lose the bonuses to the heavy armor.
Avernos 3. aug. 2013 kl. 19:03
It works without helmet but it does not work WITH helmet. You actually have more defens without helmet than with helmet, thats a little bit sad because I sometimes use helmets. But for players who dont want to play with a helmet it works perfectly.
Schnellwagen 3. aug. 2013 kl. 18:42
Yeah, everything seems to work and look fine now. Thanks for support man and keep up the good work :)
veg  [ophavsmand] 3. aug. 2013 kl. 17:19
@The Grim Milkman
The perk descriptions are just an oversight by me, whoops.
After some testing, I found that only the Matched Set perk was applying its bonus, likely due to me changing the perks to allow mixing heavy with light (which in hindsight was probably not the best idea)
I've fixed it, and it should work fine now. If it doesn't... My apologies for the inconvenience.

Something broke with recent update. Yesterday I had over 500 armor without helmet, now after the update I have slightly over 400, also the perks descriptions once again say I need full set including the helmet :/
Jowber 3. aug. 2013 kl. 4:48
Piss off Bob, we're here for the mod, not you.
p.s. awesome mod!!!

@nephthar
What I think might be happening is this:
The Heavy Armor and Light Armor perks only work if you're not wearing any light armor or heavy armor respectively, so when you wear The Visage of Mzund (heavy) and the Medusa armor (light) the perks don't work.

I did not think this would be a problem when I initially made the mod, but judging from some of the comments a few people like to mix armor.
My apologies, I will update the mod to change this.
Jogon 2. aug. 2013 kl. 17:01
Good idea. I wear a helm such as Nordic or glass which reveals the face at least. I do not like my character's face being hidden. As I wear Ebony armour the Nordic helm works in quite well.

This is good :D i never wear a helmet that covers all the face. I like to se my character :)
nephthar 2. aug. 2013 kl. 8:22
Running all game content through Dragonborn, Im using Medusa armor and Warmasters armor. I noticed an issue with the armor count numbers and actually lost armor when adding a helm. I was wearing some Medusa, but also added Visage of Mzund and saw the same effect in the tool tip of armor numbers not right or subtraction. I removed your addon and it was fixed.
veg  [ophavsmand] 2. aug. 2013 kl. 3:18
@The Grim Milkman
Oops! I forgot about those two perks. I'll update the mod.
The mod is (or should be) compatible with all vanilla armor. I assume that it is compatible with armor from the expansions as well. I had a look in the CK before I uploaded the mod, and it looks like it does work, but I did not check in-game with the new armor.

@tobias
That sounds like a good idea, but is currently beyond my abilities as a modder. I'll look into it if I work out how to do scaling benefit type things.
Blehiem 2. aug. 2013 kl. 1:28
this is a good mod i hate spending half an hour making a face just for it to be hidden under a helmet
Lazy Skeptic 2. aug. 2013 kl. 1:10
I have seen a few mods like this, that allows helm-less players to get the perk benefits that usualy require to wear a full set of armor. However, wouldnt it be better if you made the benefits scale depending on how many pieces of matching armor one wears, rather than removing the helmet as a requirement for those benefits?
If Im wearing a full set of heavy armor I get 100% of the perk related benefits for heavy armor. But if I decide to go without helmet I get like, lets say, only 80% of that bonus? If I go without greaves OR gauntlets I get 75% and if I go without cuirass I only get 50% of the perks benefit?
Schnellwagen 1. aug. 2013 kl. 14:30
What about the perks Wind Walker (in Light) and Cushioned (in Heavy). Also is it compatible with all the armor sets in game, including those from both expansions (DG and DB)?
nona 1. aug. 2013 kl. 14:08
nice some helmets look dumb, like nordic armour looks great until the helmet then it just doesnt work anymore.
PropelledTurtle 1. aug. 2013 kl. 13:48
Great for the masks
The Psych Doctor 31. juli 2013 kl. 21:50
Perfect! I like to look at my "person" and the helmets were too cumbersome and annoying (unless it rained; then maybe functional) :) Thanks for thinking of this!
Crashout Vakarian 31. juli 2013 kl. 19:19
Good Job I (ocassionaly) HATE HELMETS!!!
