Yeah, I forgot about those changes when I uploaded the mod because I always take the blessing to start at level 4. It's been a while so I forget what my thinking was exactly, but I believe it was that having less ability points to start with would balance out having massively more by the end of the game. There's another version of this mod on here that just increases the level cap

This mod changes a few more things than what are stated, my druid has fewer spellcasts, starting with only 1 and my fighter less discipline starting with only 2, maybe less resources across the board i dunno.

Thanks for confirming! Its a great mod for playing your ideal power fantasy. Might give the purist version a try in one of my other playthroughs.

Yes this mod will take multiclass characters up to power level 9. It won't remove the lock icons on the levelup screen, but there's a mod on the nexus that does that if they bug you.

There's enough xp in the game+DLC combined to get you to level 27, and multis will hit power level 9 at I believe (sorry if my memory is rusty, it's been a while!) level 25. Also bear in mind this mod makes a couple of balance changes (listed in the description) if you just want the higher level cap then use the Purist version of this mod instead. It's around here somewhere...

I haven't had any success getting this mod or the Purist version to work with my game. It just doesn't recognize it when I try to install. It appears in the workshop folder of my steamapps directory but in-game it doesn't appear in the Mod Manager nor do I see any benefits in my game. Any ideas?

Hi, i was also in shock tbh ^^ i checked steam files/ deleted cache/ reinstal game 2 times and error still occurs. I guess ur mod OG, do You have any idea if i can do anything more? hanging of mail with obisidian support but it is what it is. in error log i got this one:

I can't imagine how this mod would cause that I'm afraid. Try verifying files with steam? It's possible there may be some file that's corrupted but stays downloaded if you reinstall

Hi 2house2fly, do You have any idea when after subscribing this mod POE has an error with loading a map? i cant start new game/ load old ones, even after reinstalling game and unsubsribing error still occurs

Reached level 20 with multiclass builds, are level 8-9 abilities still locked out beyond level 20 for this mod?

It does unlock 8 and 9 for multiclasses- the little lock icons will still be there, but you can ignore them. Multiclasses get a new power level every 3 levels, so they get PL8 at level 22 and PL9 at level 25. There is enough xp in the game to get to level 27 if you do all the DLCs and you're thorough, so you can definitely get all the power levels, it'll just be a while

Dumb question but I can't seem to find a straight answer. Does this unlock level 8 and 9 for multiclasses? At what level does it show that they are unlocked? Has anyone been able to hit it? Basically I'm trying to decide if I should restart my game and do all multiclasses if they will hit the top tiers anyway?

I did a couple of slight rebalance things (I was originally planning to make a big rebalance mod but eventually just kept a couple and raised the level cap) and one of them was low-level casters having less spells, which I forgot to mention in the description. Sorry! If you use the purist version elsewhere in the workshop that does nothing but raise the level cap

You can do it direct in the game files, just browse local files for the game and go to Pillars of Eternity II\PillarsOfEternityII_Data\exported\design\gamedata and open the characters.gamedatabundle with a text editing program. Search for BasePlayerLevelCap and change the number to whatever you want. You can also edit the data in the mod but I forget where steam workshop mods are installed...

No, you can add it to a game in progress. It isn't retroactive though- if you install the mod after hitting the level cap you'll gain xp from then on but you lose any xp you would have gained between hitting level 20 and installing the mod. FYI based on a full playthrough with this mod installed, max level is 27

Is there a rate you think would be ideal for that? 2 at character creation then one every 2 levels would get you 11 by the level cap, which sounds like a good number imo

Hi Man would you mind just isolating the proficiency mod from the level cap files? I don't really need a level cap raise but I do want the +1 Weapon proficiency every 2 levels cuz the game seriously doesn't have enough weapon proficiencies to have fun

The pace of unlocking the high power levels isn't increased- you will get them, but past level 19. Iirc level 8 unlocks at level 22 and 9 at 25

Having trouble finding the point of this mod. At level 20 you're already outleveling 99% of the fights in game. If you want to keep earning xp throughout the game (and learn new skills as well) I recommend the less xp mod.
