I mean, most clothing items now use silk and cotton, which isn't animal products. Im not vegan but still cool mod

You can't swap out requirements. The best you can try is to load this asset into the editor and change it to your liking.

The Clothing Factory uses -
Crops, Animal Products, Plastic (3.2 each)
By swapping out of Animal Products, does it use twice as much Plastic?

Love this! Now we just need someone to make a Farming Industry assets for cotton, bamboo, and hemp, so you can upgrade this factory to use those too / instead.

Would be even sweeter if we could use like paper (closest to bamboo fabric) and cotton to produce clothing... i refuse to build plastic refineries as well lol

ppl never heard of Nylon these days? sneakers? Zippers, stretch pants, the label on your cotton T-shirts... plastic is everywhere! Better than fur, but not good for enviroment tho... Thx for this factory!

*Vegan goes up.*
Vegan: "Yeah, why don't you use cotton? Plastic's uncomfortable and I don't recall animal products besides leather and snakeskin and alligator and real feathers, which I'm happy isn't here, being made at this establishment. (Hey at least I was kind of a normal being except a quick rant about AnImAl PrOdUcTs.)"

Will there be any more Unique factories built. There just aren't enough in-game, and only 10 on the workshop. I just can't build very big manufacturing districts. I found the Not So Unique Buildings mod by BloodyPenguin, that lets me plop the same factories over and over, but it looks ugly and repetitive.
Neoba 17. feb. 2019 kl. 22:28
who the hell makes clothes out of plastic, so uncomfortable! :steamfacepalm:

How do I give you 5-stars? I have thumb-up and favorited. But no star rating. I even switched browsers and nothing.

Thanks for the extra Unique Industries DLC Factories. Can't wait for more. They are equivalent to Generic Industry, but these are unique and limited and holding my industrial complex from growing proper.

NS_Foothills 19. jan. 2019 kl. 6:56

pdelmo 13. jan. 2019 kl. 23:24
do they make wool jumpers?
Mayor  [ophavsmand] 13. jan. 2019 kl. 10:45
Maybe.
Streeto 13. jan. 2019 kl. 6:54
Are you a vegan? Lmao
exothermic 19. nov. 2018 kl. 21:31
plastic is usually avoided by vegans too, as most clothes can be made with just plants, or plants and a little plastic.

Thank you for your input! I'll make sure to keep it in mind.

An interesting take on vanilla, for sure! I wonder, though, if it makes more sense thematically to use something like raw products (either farming, forestry or even standard zoned industry) instead of plastics (think plant fibers and the like) I'm not well-versed on veganism, but I like throwing ideas out there :)
