As for the quest, like I said I have a whole idea already planned out. It may be started by reading a specific book. The whole idea is that the sword was last seen in the hands of the Champion of Cyrodiil, the hero of Oblivion, but where it went after the final battle is unknown. You end up going to the Champion's tomb, which is located on the very outskirts of Skyrim, and while inside you end up finding out the Thalmor are looking for it. Ultimately you're lead to a cave they've excavated at the base of the Throat of the World, and that cave takes you through a Nordic ruin, then a Dwarven one that cuts through below it, and occasionally face off with members of the Thalmor team.
