cool game

P.S. This may seem silly, but could you add an option to turn off the "night time" lighting effect (but keep the evening glow)? Or at least make the night lighting less extreme? I don't like that for almost half the time I'm playing, I can't really enjoy the colors.

Fritz: I have played the demo here on Steam, and so far, I'm enjoying the foundations of the game! It's unexplainably hypnotic, relaxing, and addicting to play. That said, although you describe the gameplay to be "aimless but mindful wandering," I really think the game would benefit from more goals, more characters to interact with (each with their own stories to unearth), and added purpose to some of the objects you collect and things that could happen if you color the world in certain hues. I know it's a work in progress still, so I'm looking forward to what you have planned for the final product!

I personally liked the robot voice, for the cube that is. When the star spoke I cringed so I'm glad you are fixing it.

this remindes me of that 80's game called the journey

I agree with the sonic fan
霧島 真吾 (Shingo Kirishima) Oct 29, 2013 @ 8:35pm
the art style reminds me of Minecraft

I think this game Just looks AWSOME, can't wait for the release.
PS: Which Game Engine are you using?
"Bob" the Space Cadet Aug 7, 2013 @ 10:18pm
It looks nice, but without a strong plotline it's hard to be engaged by it. Could you elaborate on the cube and star perhaps?
Black Camel Jul 28, 2013 @ 3:32am
норм как на преставках
im jacob Jul 27, 2013 @ 4:31pm
I would be more likely to buy this if it were not over a few bucks, like 4.99 at most.
Sparkbomber Jul 25, 2013 @ 9:42am
Looks promising, but I'd appreciate it very much if has plenty of things to do besides merely exploring, a lot of easter eggs'd be nice too.
nose Jul 23, 2013 @ 5:37pm
This looks great. Nice :D
rhumperd Jul 22, 2013 @ 9:03pm
It looks interesting, but I think if I knew how much it was projected to cost, I might be able to better indicate if I were interested or not. For $2.99, it's a maybe. For $15.99, we'll, I think it looks nice but it's not for me.
Jinpluff Jul 22, 2013 @ 1:16pm
It looks strange but I think it's a good idea
Painappuru Jul 22, 2013 @ 7:44am
Great idea :) Loved it
The Spooky Boy Jul 20, 2013 @ 10:22pm
The idea is a little wired yet it looks cool.

Красивая игра, я бы купил! Плюс мне понравилась в ней графика.

I have been waiting for a game I like on Steam, its really hard to find the perfect game but this is what I like! Its close to perfect for me I think I would enjoy it alot, also I like simple standard games. Anyway im exited to see if this goes out to play I would like that alot!
Yume Nightfire Jul 9, 2013 @ 12:34am
I love puzzle games like this! The graphics are beautiful <3
Disarcade Jul 4, 2013 @ 7:31pm
This looks... amazing! Not usually my kind of game, but I want to play this one. 1up!
Mogg Jun 30, 2013 @ 10:34pm
There is always one idiot that will scream "minecraft" as soon as there are cubes involved. Typical of someone trying to prove to the world they are an idiot - just ignore them. Anyway, I'm still undecided on this and am keeping an eye here.
WelshPixie Jun 20, 2013 @ 1:49pm
Looks intriguing. Yes! :)
Maspoon Jun 14, 2013 @ 1:26pm
Making this multiplayer would be INCREDIBLE
Sugar Plumps Jun 11, 2013 @ 11:32pm
Looks amazing! I want to play it even if it doesn't make it on steam.

I actually liked the text-to-speech voice from the original trailer. Somehow or another, it seemed fitting for this game.
White IceCube Jun 9, 2013 @ 8:18am
Das ist eine neue Art von Spiel deswegen sogar ziemlich interressant, auch wenn ich eigentlich mehr auf action stehe

Now; I know you all absolutely love the speech synthesis voiceover on the trailer - but it's with a heavy heart that I must withdraw the video and temporarily replace it with a sound/music only trailer.

You see... while I was out shopping for okra and aubergine... robots kicked down my apartment door and killed my family. There were bolts and brains everywhere.

And the last thing I heard as I walked into the apartment... dropping my grocery bags in terror... was a robotic:

"Ha... Ha... Ha"

The speech synthesis reminds me too much of that fateful day. The pain is... too much to bear.

[Short summary: I'm working with the community on a voiceover alternative. I have heard your feedback, and am acting swiftly ;)]
Fritz  [author] Jun 6, 2013 @ 7:24pm
@bertri I was concerned about the same thing - since the game has a focus on non-violence and a sort of... more passive, peaceful interaction with the world - but it works pretty nicely.

You know in cartoons / comedies how... the protagonist will lay down a line of cookies / treats and the antagonist will say "Oooh!" and follow them until they are ultimately trapped?

It's kind of designed like that. Every time you find one 'cookie', you can see another 'cookie' in the distance, so you're compelled to explore.

(There's no trap at the end, though. Not in the negative sense of the term)
Fritz  [author] Jun 6, 2013 @ 7:22pm
@LEGION Man, the original concept (pre-world coloring and the focus on AI) was going to be a 2D world exploration, taking a real influence from Minecraft's biomes. Things like... oceans and sand and rivers and deserts and what-not. But it sort of... deviated along a tangent, which I think is ultimately a good thing.
Metabloxer Jun 6, 2013 @ 6:55pm
the voicing seems to be from a device of some sort, like a text reader. The game seems like it will get boring really fast.

Psycho Jun 6, 2013 @ 4:43am
Horrible voicing makes me want to turn it off instantly, but the gameplay is cute and would be good for young kids to play virtual colouring as they explore.
Mutts-NL Jun 6, 2013 @ 2:01am
Interesting concept, voted yes
bertri Jun 6, 2013 @ 1:04am
The game looks nice at the first look, but i think it'll probably be quite borring and with no action on it
E Rekt Jun 6, 2013 @ 12:50am
Uhhhhh, no thanks. Downvoted.
Celebrimnar Jun 5, 2013 @ 11:13pm
Besides the terrible decision for the voice int he trailer, looks nice, interesting
Fritz  [author] Jun 5, 2013 @ 10:16pm
@Gunter Wolfe Thanks man :D I dig it, but I guess game development is a democracy now (not a dictatorship).

A camel is a horse, designed by committee.

I think it makes sense that a non-human has a non-human voice.
Game looks very interesting.
