Love this. I would like to see if a color could be added so I can use them for my ingredients also. You know like a red, green , blue, or yellow. I love the lights I placed them in my children's area. Great idea!!

mentilreq  [ophavsmand] 27. mar. 2018 kl. 7:32
Activate them once they are placed, and the jar will open as a container.
Goro Majima 26. mar. 2018 kl. 11:06

@toosoon2u That was my aim when I made this, but after a few weeks of trying I couldn't get it to work. I am not very good with modeling and animations.
toosoon2u 26. dec. 2015 kl. 16:16
A cute idea. Although I wish I could use them for more than just a light. I think it would be fun to have a jar with a fish swiming in it.
tyndal 3. nov. 2015 kl. 11:34
I like this and it made me think of a mod I would like of Jars.
Lets just call them soul jars. When you kill a person you can pull them out and put them in a jar.

say I killed a bandit, being able to inside the jar area a bandit would be cloned at a reduced sice to fit in the jar. It would have to call the clone feature and then reduce the size.

just an idea. Companion gets killed.. put em in a jar, wife? do the same..
if it's Aela as your wife.. use it to foil Hericine. Wife on a shelf..

Not sure if it's possible because I do ot know the jars mechanics.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ZephyrLuxx 25. feb. 2015 kl. 3:03
Neat. This only works with torchbugs, luna moths, and glowing mushrooms though, right? I wish you could display more stuff in the jars. Like daedra hearts, giant's toes, other plants etc. but it's still pretty cool all the same.
Talyn Firelock 17. jan. 2015 kl. 3:53
OMG I have the 101 bugs mod, that would be awesome tro have some of them
Lina 30. juli 2014 kl. 22:38
make these able to contain other other alch ingredients or be compatable with the 101bugs mod so we could put those bugs on display in jars and you'd have one heck of an epic collection/decoration mod. The work and time involved to do so might not be worth it though :P

Still awsome mod

Heya – Just out of courtesy, letting you know I’ve added this awesome Mod of yours to my Collection, “Mods That Enhanced My Early Skyrim Immersion.” Thank you for making this game even better! Fayde1 :)
Fayde 28. apr. 2014 kl. 12:58
Coooool! Works with Torchbug and Glowing Mushie so far.
Yep, Malachite to Forge the Jars.
I dropped the jar from inventory, the options came up for adding stuffage. I'm using them as lights, love the effect and it makes more sense than having strange unknown light sources in this environment.
As promised, the bits'n'pieces were returned to my inventory when I made it a light.
Excellent mod so far - does what's promised and enhances my gameplay.
Thanks mentilreq for this! :)

I really like this mod. It is really good but I had started to decorate my cellar with them because it was really dark and I put a luna moth jar down and it disappeared . The light was still there but I couldn't see the jar or the moth. Could you please fix this. Also anyone who needs to know where malachite is there is a mine full of it at Kynesgrove (Kyensgrove is just below Windhelm on the map) and there is a bit on the top of the throat of the world.
funlar 18. jan. 2014 kl. 11:28
i have only found 2 jars so i might like this mod ! =)
Carl!!!! 9. jan. 2014 kl. 4:35
I can make the jars, but how do you add the ingredient/item to them?
DH-Mix2014 5. jan. 2014 kl. 13:03
Is it just the torchbug. luna moth and mushroom that appear in the jar when you add it? I tried another alchemy ingredient and it stored it in the jar but the jar still appeared empty. I see several people asking for more graphics like fish, hearts and butterflies so I am guessing that not many items have an actual graphic once placed in the container.

@mentilreq
Malachite, for me, appears to be damned near impossible to locate. Once I locate it though, Im sure i will have all sorts of fun with your mod. Quick question, Would you be able to make a Hearthfire edition of this where it uses glass instead of malachite? Doing so would allow me to make the jars that much faster. If you dont have Hearthfire, I may be able to work out a quick fix and release a Hearthfire version for you, if you are interested.
clvr_mystc 11. sep. 2013 kl. 23:52
Love this mod great way to add extra storage to houses that are lacking in storage containers.
Maddie 1. sep. 2013 kl. 3:24
dont worry i wasnt using malachite i was using moonstone my mistake
Maddie 31. aug. 2013 kl. 15:38
i was just wondering what smithing lv is needed to create the jars beacuse i cant find them under misc at my current lv
mentilreq  [ophavsmand] 27. juli 2013 kl. 14:36
Should be simple enough.
Bahnan 27. juli 2013 kl. 14:27
Sorry, I guess I misled you there......
What I meant was that yes, I'd like to create something with an open top, like a basket or bucket, but looks like your jars.
mentilreq  [ophavsmand] 27. juli 2013 kl. 8:00
@indiana650 If you are just looking for a way to carry alot of items in your inventory, a friend of mine made this Vidani's Bag of Holding. I thought about doing something similar with the jars, however, whenever a new one is created a hidden container would also have to be created and I am afraid all the additional references would create save game bloat if they are not properly cleaned up when necessary.
Bahnan 27. juli 2013 kl. 4:31
yes, something with an open top as since the skeevers and giant bugs aren't items I can't put them in the jars....although, with that said, I can carry all my inventory in just one jar :)
mentilreq  [ophavsmand] 26. juli 2013 kl. 16:33
@indiana650 Not sure what you mean by "act as a bucket". Do you mean like a container (chest, drawers, barrel), or an open top to place items?
Bahnan 24. juli 2013 kl. 17:47
How can I modify this (please) so that it acts as a bucket? A skeever would look great in a jar :)
mentilreq  [ophavsmand] 7. maj 2013 kl. 8:38
@ Lady Zoner At the forge look under "Misc" to craft an empty jar. Then add either a Glowing Mushroom, Torchbug, or Luna Moth Wing to make them into a light. They also work as a portable container.
Lady Zoner 7. maj 2013 kl. 8:36
Where is the option to craft them under Smithing? What category?
Vidani81 24. apr. 2013 kl. 18:11
When typing in the console, you should type Empty, and you will get the listing. Glad to see you got it to work, this mod is awesome! Hope that helps.
Ripyu Anuwan 24. apr. 2013 kl. 0:03
Mentilreq- thanks for your help. Interestingly, when I typed "help jar", there were no matches in the console help list; lots of help for "jarls" and characters with "jar" in their name. However, the "MISC" category appeared on the forge- which wasn't there before. Not that I'm worried about that- the lights are beautiful, and the containers are just what I was looking for. Thanks again.
mentilreq  [ophavsmand] 23. apr. 2013 kl. 19:30
@Ripyu Anuwan If I am understanding you correctly you are trying to add the empty jars in the console? If so open the console and type "help jar" without the quotes. What you are looking for is a misc item called "Empty Jar" there will be two listed, you need the first one (Highest in the list). There are two because Skyrim has a weird bug where things dropped from your inventory stay referenced where you dropped them no matter where you move it.
Ripyu Anuwan 23. apr. 2013 kl. 10:39
I'm having trouble crafting these babies. I've tried the console commands Forge & -Forge (with and without "Empty Jar", (as per your directions to Obama Bin Laden) but they aren't recognized. What's up? Thanks.
ElderGamer1 22. apr. 2013 kl. 12:16
I just read in a Vampire Overhaul about needing these Jars...Yours really look very good...Fav'd n Thumbs Up!
